I just fixed the errors you and @usr_554 pointed out. Alas, that scene is a code nightmare!
Thank you very much

Constitution is similar to health, but with a few differences. While the health stat varies easily and is more specifically about diseases, injuries, and various ailments of the body, the constitution one is what makes you more likely to lose health or not, and it depends on the state of your immune system, your lifestyle, medication intake, and so on.
Mental health, on the other hand, adjusts your response to situations, how you are holding up, and so on. It depends not only on external values such as mental disorders, but also on the situations you find yourself experiencing or witnessing.
Let me know if the explanation was helpful, and if you would prefer it in-game!
That definitely should not have happened! It should be fine now.
Let me know if you find any other repeated phrases that should obviously have been alternatives to each other, please.
Fixed, thanks.
Damn this is good. Also is the father & and sibling implied to be dead or is it did i just get it wrong?
Thank you! It depends on who bought your planner. Generally speaking, check again the scene when your mother is attacked, you should see some bodies on the floor.
Thanks, must have missed that.
Great so far, love the details in both story and character!
Glad you’re liking it! I will update it soon with some small fix and adds, like the currently unavailable dialogues with Michael, and things like what.
Some points in the beginning made me cringe, I won’t lie, but maybe it’s me being old and rusty. I have no idea how teens in America behave, after all.
After the main thing begin to happen, though, I quickly became hooked. I felt, though, like it happened way too fast. Why the news sites aren’t sowing anything related, since the connection still works? It would be actually interesting to imagine social networks at the time of zombie apoc. Someone would’ve made memes for sure.
I would’ve gave more but I’ve encountered a bug on the choice “I’ll drop some objects”. Overall, I’m very interested in seeing more of the story!
Hi, thanks for your feedback! I’m going to answer in points so it’s more organized.
May I ask you what passages in particular you found cringeworthy? I’m not a teenager and I’m not American, so maybe it’s my fault.
You’re right, it’s very fast. You might find out the reason as you progress through the game, but is not required to finish it.
They’re doing it: the local paper’s website is not accessible during the demo, as you can see using your smartphone, but for now, there’s a way to interact with the website at least once.
The internet connection works on and off, as does the servers. A few clues about this:
No good! Please tell me more about the bug. Thank you!
Hiya!
I just released a small update.
If you have already played the game since the November 21 update, there is no need to restart it today.
Furthermore, I’ve added in the main post some of the forthcoming stuff I’m working on. This obviously counts as a big spoiler for future updates, but in case you want to read it anyway, you can find it there.
(I also created a Ko-fi profile, in case anyone wants to buy me a coffee or something. Not required, but always appreciated!)
I restarted it again but I can’t seem to get past this part
I don’t have any old files so I’m not sure of tis because it was a new run or not
Edit: Also came across this when doing the sibling options and trying to keep the cigs
Both fixed! Thank you for pointing them out!
(However, generally speaking, when you see an error naming parentheses or quotes it’s a syntax error on my part, so don’t worry–let me know and we’ll fix it right away ^^)
So I noticed the weight system and stuff like that isn’t implemented yet(not working?), how restrictive is that going to be? Like could you get completely screwed because you chose to take x item instead of y cause it couldn’t fit in your backpack? Essentially what I’m asking is, is there perhaps a plan for people like me who don’t so much care(a nicer way to put it) for the more survival game like aspects, and more just want to experience the story without having to worry about that, to just turn off restrictions(magic black hole backpack ftw)? Assuming the first part is true ofc…
And even though I’m not generally a fan of “zombie apocalypse” type scenarios, I am definitely curious what direction(s) this will take.
I actually really enjoyed the interactions(perhaps a little too concise, but it made sense, to me at least, given the situation) with the characters I’ve met, and choices I made so far.
Good luck on the project!
Thank you for your feedback!
The backpack system is already working, you didn’t notice particular scenes because it’s too early to have real issues with it. For now, you could just need to drop something if you’ve got too lucky during your looting around, but it’s quite difficult for it to happen.
Basically, what the system does is giving you a realistic backpack management. If you’re frail, petite, ill, or things like this, you won’t be able to bring a heavy backpack with you. While if you’re big, strong, healthy etc, you would have less issues with it.
You’re not going to die for your heavy backpack, that’s it. But you could struggle, get tired more easily, and if you’re so inconsiderate to bring with you an extremely stuffed backpack at a fight with monsters… well, it could be more difficult for you—exactly like in real life
