No problem, keep up the good work.
Updated!
This update brings about 20,000 words, with the last part of the fifth day of the journey.
Aside from the obvious addition of narrative content, here are the changes made in this release:
-
Bug Fixes:
- Fixed an issue where 12 pm was incorrectly displayed as 12 am.
- Fixed an error preventing the romance route with Michael if MC was pansexual.
- Corrected various bugs in scenes involving Abby’s baby.
- Resolved an issue where Kay wasn’t accounted for in certain group conversations.
- Fixed a major bug that prevented players from changing their plans to explore Abby’s house.
- Typos fixed.
-
Improvements:
- Enhanced memory tracking for MC’s interactions with Kay and Max.
- Improved the flow of certain dialogue lines to sound more natural.
- Made several achievements more consistent.
-
New Features:
- Added a new achievement related to in-game actions.
-
Known Issues:
- All the other issues present in the 3.5.1 and 3.5.2 devlog.
Please note that this update is quite extensive and may be expanded further in the future (especially the nighttime dialogues), so new bugs might pop up despite the routine debugging.
As always—please, let me know what you think. I’m always happy to receive your feedbacks!
There seems to be a issue with first watch (I don’t know about second watch) at the dinner. Out of the three options the only one that seems to work (In the sense that it lets you advance the story) is the “I need nourishment” option and then picking the choice to eat or drink something because if you go back you’ll be greeted by the original choices.
Is what I would say if I didn’t just try to replicate it unsuccessfully. So actually none of the options seem to be working.
Thanks for letting me know, I’ll check the code in the next couple of hours! I’ll let you know what’s up with it!
@Twenty2 I just checked the code and I think there was a simple misunderstanding! If the game goes back, it’s because you can’t do anything else at that time. If you notice, the description of the environment changes and the timer does too; each action makes an hour pass. You have a five-hour watch that you can spend performing actions or paying attention to the environment. At the moment, there is not much interactivity in that scene beyond what you see, and in the future I may expand the descriptions and/or dialogue, but the point is that MC cannot be distracted—they have to pay attention the whole time.
If I can give you a suggestion to make it more engaging right now, try choosing the shift with the people you’ve interacted with the least so far. You’ll naturally have more dialogue that way.
Hey there, there seems to be an issue in the first shift in diner scene after finishing interaction with Divya and Max. Clicking [That’s all] only loops me back.
I’m sorry, I need more specifics. When you say “it loops me back,” do you mean it brings you back to the menu starting with the “How do you know each other?” option?
It doesn’t let me exit the choices even though I’ve already exhausted all of them…so yeah, a loop.
Bug found and fixed! Thanks for the report, everything should be fine now
How do i save the baby?
Every run I have the baby survives so I’ll just tell you what I do, but you may not need to do all of it.
- Have a good relationship with the mum, and positive feelings for the pregnancy.
- When the option comes up to either “Help Michael” or “Take (the mother) to the shed”, take her. Michael will be fine without aid but she will not.
- Have knowledge in first-aid to help with the delivery.
BAM! Baby is alive. Don’t forget to give it nice things too when you explore the shed.
How do i get first aide knowledge
Its way back in the thread but I think the author said you gotta be in good condition to help the baby survive
Hello there! You’ve received already excellent answers, but to add on this: you have to meet certain previous requirements in order to have knowledge in first-aid. Remember that MC is a teenager. Think about what “traits” you would expect from a teenager with first aid knowledge—that’s probably the right answer!
However, this is not mandatory. If you do your best for MC, Michael and especially Abby, the baby should survive anyway
Couldn’t figure out how to get first aid at first either. Didn’t really do anything different beside talk to Abby at the smoke shop and told her I wanted to be a doctor instead of a nurse. That seemed to work for me, I think? But then again I could be wrong because why wouldn’t a nurse know first aid?
No, that can’t have changed it. It’s related to character traits, and MC’s dream work doesn’t change them.
How do i get the traits i feel like i have tried every choice possible
Can you tell me your current stats please? You can also attach screenshots.
I never get that trait as well, wondering where you get that, but the event with labor is successful.
Not gonna lie First aid seems like useful in apocalypse that’s why I am interested.
