Haha, but thanks. It is something I would buy and I am only making things which I enjoy, though am glad others have liked what Iā€™ve put out so far, else I wouldnā€™t have the motivation.

It feels like a good idea- as did having an orc simulator game. It feels like something which would have an audience too.

Iā€™ll repost what I just put on my Patreon. Most of it is not new info, but the bit about the third gameā€™s title is.

PATREON REPOST (free tier)

As I have mentioned, what I call the Krog Pile Arc will contain 3 main stories.

  1. An Unexpectedly Green Journey + DLC(s)

  2. A Shriek of Ash and Fire Book 1 + Book 2

  3. Unnamed Third Game set in space *Perhaps with a short prologue game first that isnā€™t required to play. This would allow you to play as a Forest Elf, letting you create a potential love interest for the MC of the main game in order to set up a reason for potential divided loyalties later.

So, after Book 1 of Ash and Fire, I may well try my hand at writing a DLC for Green. It will be a shorter project, one I can hopefully get out to you in a half-dozen months or so. However, I may write the DLC after Ash and Fire Book 2. Still havenā€™t decided.

After all this, I plan to make the third main story a sci-fi fantasy in the far future, when the races of Krog Pile have reached the stars. You will play as a Scorned Elf. This will make more sense once Ash and Fire is completed.

One of the big influences for wanting to write a game like this is Legend of Galactic Heroes, the anime. In this vein, I propose the working title of the third game to be Saga of Void Armadas. The first gameā€™s title is a play on An Unexpected Journey, from The Hobbit. A Shriek of Ash and Fire is a play on A Song of Ice and Fire, for all the Game of Thrones intrigue.

Now we have!!

  1. Saga of Void Armadas (Working title- but maybe the actual title as I like it!)

EDIT: Of course, this depends on how well things go in real life and how the games are received. Global (or even local) hatred and mockery are not my aim.

Well, that depends on whether I can pull it off- and it wonā€™t be exactly the same since my lore is very different. But it will be one of the sources of inspiration. And I get an excuse to watch it all again. I consider it to be the greatest space opera set to film/TV, but I discovered it late so Iā€™m not a lore master with it. Love the intrigue, the battles and tactics.

I just wish there were a dub so I can listen while writing and multitasking.

Iā€™ll also read through a lot of the Culture novels again to get ideas for unique-looking civilisations.

But we canā€™t get too excited yet, I have a lot to do first, and it has to do at least relatively well.
