But for him the hood of his new silly robe plus a bandaged face would do the trick all the same, without the need for a preposterous mask. In addition it may give him the side benefit of most people giving him a wide berth due to them thinking he is a leper or horrifically burned/disfigured or something.
Throwing the mask away is pretty much the first thing he’d do once he does manage to escape Arcadia.
Those are some interesting thoughts on the masks lol only read last couple posts but did see the last picture and that was really good as to my thoughts hmmm mixed bag sorta my main mc sides with old white fang pals and kingdom and told the arcadians flat out lol. Yet to a thought while it might lead to rescue for some I’m more of the mind if people knew who the mc was and they tried to help the arcadians would kill them some more willingly than others. So the mask is for the moment a way of protecting the most possible people.

Hi! I just wanted to stop by and say that this demo was incredible! The writing, world-building, characters are all exceptional. I’m super excited for the Leon and Eli romances + the moment when MC ends up meeting all the royals again in his reborn form. Anyways, I loved this so much and can’t wait for the next update <3
ah gotta say it was the complete opposite for me. i usually try the male romances at first and while leon was great, it just didn’t have that factor that i usually go for and after he just burned us at the stake without a fair trial, i kinda lost a lot of respect for him because homie didn’t even try to understand us. i don’t put it against him tho, people react differently under pressure and such but i really didn’t wanted my character to be with someone who wouldn’t even listen or believe their side of the story. then, i went for ilya in my next playthrough and boy, oh boy. she was so sweet and kind to my mc, one of the only two people who actually believed in their innocence and never lost faith in them. it was true love, honestly. she’s pretty underrated compared to leon but perfect for people like me who value unconditional loyalty and kindness.
still have some respect for the himbo king tho, hopefully he has a good enough apology in hand, after i give a well needed smooch to my kind priestess
Not quite what I expected from the description but I’m super excited to see where it goes.
The end of Part 1 gave me chills, especially the callback to Aunt Bess. It reminded me a lot of the execution and aftermath in A Tale Of Two Cities only it hits a lot harder because of the 1st person immersion and the higher connectivity with the other characters when it switches to 3rd person.
Very well written and a lot of encouragement to the author from my way.
Okay could you add “Ghost” to the list of code names because…well it explains itself. Also will we have the chance to visit Aunt Bess like when she is dying or something, just pop in and give her some piece of mind she deserves that much I think after all she did for us. Other than that I await the next update so I can have my interaction with Eli.
It looks like there won’t be any reaction to the chosen codenames from other characters but being able to choose it still nice. Definitely didn’t stop me from choosing Pyre as a codename.

And if you’re looking for feedback then, in the scene where the priestess attempts to save you from execution, can you ask her instead to send a letter to your adoptive parent? It would be a sensible course of action for a compassionate MC.
It’s entirely possible to account for these things, however, “code bloat” is also a thing–so while it would be cool to have as many of these player-suggested code names as possible, even I would balk at manually adding checks for every last one recursively. It would never end, most likely, which would be bad for the plot’s forward momentum.
That’s not to say some really good ones shouldn’t be considered; this fan group feeds on both angst, and puns!
I mean, if we’re talking about that, then I think “Revenant” would be even more of a troll than “Ghost”

True, personally I would want echo, or shadow because that’s all my mc feels he is now, a pale shadow or dull echo of a person and past that is dead and gone.
After I decided to ask Tahlia more about Arcadia, the third option seems a little out of place to me, and I can’t help but slightly gaped at that, I, I mean, I asked, didn’t I? Though Tahlia’s response is brilliant.
Part of me has the same thought, but another part of me is still bewildered.
