A Mage Reborn, Book Two (WIP) - UPDATED April 5th, 2025 | Book One Released!

She won’t last long enough to put that part into action. I just need to cultivate support for my coup.

My MC has no problem killing all of them except for Saine. I hope to be an indispensable ally to Tahlia so that she’ll be forced to listen when I request that we let Saine live.
She doesn’t seem like an unreasonable person, she wouldn’t want to risk our enmity just to kill a boy who wouldn’t even want to be a king. Especially if we manage to form a closer bond with her.
She brought us and our best friend back to life, she’ll give us a chance to strike at Leon and get our revenge. My MC feels nothing but gratitude
right now. I’d be glad to be working under her until the end as long as she grants our request when the time comes.

She is not royalty

I think the best revenge for my mage is to just make out with Eli in front of Leon.

The most sadistic part of me wants to destroy all of Param, but leave Leon to walk amidst the ashes. Can’t be a king without a kingdom. And most of his motivation is to protect the kingdom, so destroying what’s most precious to him feels more vicious than just slaughtering him.

Ok you had me for the first bit. Then you went nuts.

When I had to pick a choice for the relationships with Leon, Saine, and Ilya.

One of them was worded like this.

Leon 70, Ilya 55, Leon 80

Also, I haven’t gotten around to playing the released game yet and I was just wondering about the letter we can write is there a bit where the person we send it to reads it and we see their reaction? because I remember asking if it was going to be a thing or not.

I just got the choices to do with the Personality Meters and I always pick to retain because of this text Your mind wanders towards the boy that was Max, ever beguiling and bright, always ready with a word of encouragement even when all hope is lost. A man who had loved without measure like it really hits in the feels and it also fits with how I want my MC to be.

But I do kind of want to pick reset now after reading this bit one who lost his innocence in twin seas of emerald-green, who sought them out desperately even as smoke blotted his vision. because I like the idea of my MC forever being changed in some way after experiencing something like that especially as it was done at the orders of someone they love(d).

Plus I really want to see how everyone reacts to how different we are and knowing they made us this way. :smiling_imp:

OMG Tahlia how could you think someone was a brilliant man even after knowing what he did to children and then have the balls to say we’re a failure like I’m sorry we didn’t do what was expected of us while we were going through hell? :face_with_raised_eyebrow:

What are everyone’s feelings and thoughts on Tahlia, Falco and Yusuha? because I’m having a hard time liking them, especially Tahlia and Falco.

Tahlia if you want my loyalty I’m sorry you just lost every hope in hell of getting it after saying we will force you to work for us if you refuse. :unamused:

I think there might be one for Ilya. Never tried the others.

I’d love for my MC to run away with Eli and let them live the rest of their undead lives in peace. But since this is a drama series about war, conspiracy and angst, I don’t think that’d be an option. XD

@Think_Manner

But what about Ilya? Like Saine, she is also a true friend who believed in the MC till the end and even tried to bust the MC out of prison. Not to mention both her and Saine now hate Leon because of the MC’s execution.

Fair enough. She is a noble, and nobles are closely associated with the royals. I hope Tahlia doesn’t plan to wipe out the Parami nobles as well.

@Max_Jones

Personally, I don’t hate any of them. Although I’m not particularly happy with Tahlia for allowing Mireil to do all the horrible things she did which eventually led to the MC’s execution. Yu is a nice and likable person. F is obnoxious at first, but ok after knowing them for some time. Of course, my MC isn’t happy being a prisoner in Arcadia and being forced to work for Tahlia, and he wants to escape with Eli when the opportunity comes.

Absolutely despise Tahlia for allowing Mireil to do what she did.

All of the royals, not all of the Parami.

What’s wrong with Yu? They’re friendly, amicable, not even particularly extreme compared to the other.

I didn’t like F at first, but they grew on me at the festival. They’re not all that bad.

Tahlia is… an enigma. Not sure how to feel about her yet. Her plans have a core concept I’m all for, restoring the Arcadian Empire. Her specific plans, however, make me think she’s one of those wannabe successors you get throughout history. Like how everyone wanted to be the reunifier of Rome in Medieval Europe.

Now, I WANT to prove Sun Tzu wrong on this one and have a kingdom that has once been destroyed come again into being, but I don’t think Tahlia as she is now is the person to do it. She’ll just found an Arcadian Supremacist state, that’s no better than what we have now.

Also, not too keen on her plans to kill Saine. Leone is fair game. Blood for blood. She seems to expect me to want to resent the whole of Param for my death.

That’s actually confusing to me. It seems like a lot of my fellow Arcadia backers want Param destroyed. I don’t get it. Param didn’t have me executed, Leone had me executed. The rest of the country probably doesn’t look too fondly on that decision now that they know we’re innocent. Deciding to punish a whole culture for the actions of its leaders is absurd.

I still don’t get why people hate Thalia for what our Sister did. The actual war effort from Mir was a great thing for Arcadia - she basically took over Param in a span of day without actually revealing anything about Arcadia and their actual plan. For us she was just a person from the past mad for power. Hell, if not for Leon’s leadership and Mage’s pure power, things would be over for Param right there. So why would Thalia want to stop her? If you are talking about Sister turning Saintes into a nuke, than I doubt she revealed that part of a plan to anyone. If was just a last “fuck you” to Mage, she probably didn’t cared about the consequences at that moment. Again, Even if Thalia knew about the Sister’s curse - what could she possibly did without revealing herself and Arcadia as a whole? I’m actually gonna be surprised if we wont have a choice to do something similar, doesn’t matter if we play for Param or Arcadia.

I can see what you mean, but I think it’s a different thing to reveal yourself during an open war and revealing yourself after most of your goals are already accomplished and you are able to dictate on your own terms. Don’t forget its still basically a war.

As far as I understand, Sister went on this crusade on her own and her whole war power came from thralls. I can’t say for certain since we still have so little information, but my guess is her Mind-reading powers are coming from her bringing back from death and having a constant mana access to them. Again, it’s just my own speculations, but I don’t see Thalia as all-seeing and all-knowing - it’s just that she has a lot of information on her hands and she knows how to use it. I don’t see Thalia as someone who’s end goal is to completely eradicate an entire country. I think she would be a lot more comfortable with an actual functional nation without having to do everything from scratch. It’s just Sister that had hew own ideas and revenge plans for us.

She could be lying? Okay, I know that i’m being very biased right now, but just humor me :

A lot of words

<You are Thalia
<Your Phantasma lets your resurrect people for the price of keeping them in tact with your mana supply
<Bonus is you can read their minds
<One of the people you resurrected wants to escape
<You could just kill them right there and there but you can’t - the resurrection took too much time and effort for it to be in vain
<Lightbulb.png
<Tell this person that you read everyone’s minds, not just theirs
<That way this person will have less funny ideas because they’ll think you will know about it regardless
<Commit war crimes

What I wrote has a chance of 80% being wrong and stupid, but all I can do right now is theorize and speculate of what Thalia can and can’t do. If Parivir wont post an update in the next 2 weeks I’m gonna go and cry.

I think it has more to do with the fact that Tahila didn’t really try to rein in Sister knowing that she’s psychotic and used the fact that she didn’t want Arcadia to be known which is about to be a moot point since she plans on revealing their existence to the world. In that way, I can see how Tahila was being a huge hypocrite

I’ll have to disagree with that. Tahlia is a near-omniscient mind-reader who pretty much knows all the thoughts of all the people in Arcadia, remember? And it is clear that Sister has planned to turn the Saintess Shiraya into a human-nuke for a long time, even before she invaded Param, because she wanted (and needed) Shiraya alive from the get go. It clearly wasn’t a last “F*** you!” thing for the MC.

No, that’s not it. In the escape scene, she clearly says that she has access to all Arcadians’ thoughts, and that “thoughts of sedition shine the brightest”.

This ability clearly has something to do with her phantasma, which even allows her to access the Arkashic Record of the Universe, which is what allowed her to bring both Eli and the MC back to life in the first place.

LMAO! I love your theory. Anyway, it’s a plausibility. Although I still think she has a near-omniscient mind-reading ability because she can spy on everyone in Arcadia at any time, as demonstrated by her helping us locate either Yu or F on the MC’s sixth day in Arcadia.

What?

@comradelenin
You didn’t know? If you tried the escape scene in Book 2 demo, you’ll learn that Tahlia can see all the thoughts of everyone in Arcadia.

Oh, I never bothered with that path. it’s one of the reasons I’m not as all in on the Tahlia hate. I don’t LIKE her, at least barring future character development, but this is all secondhand information for me. It’s why I wasn’t mad about the collar. I didn’t want to run anyway, why should I care?

Actually, even without trying that scene, it has been hinted here and there that Tahlia can kinda read people’s thoughts, like if you choose to stay in her office instead of going out and spend some time with either Yu or F.

At least you can reconfigure your mage’s coup plans around this new information.

Interesting. Of course, this only means she knew of Sister’s plan if she came up with it in Arcadia, if I understand correctly.

Then again, she does seem like the type to approve such a plan.

Yes. I imagine Tahlia wouldn’t mind Mireil blowing up the entire Sienan Capital with a human-nuke.

Again, I don’t hate Tahlia. I can understand her hatred for Param and Salantira, but I’m not interested to be a pawn in her war game. Although I’m not a fan of hers, I am very grateful to her for bringing both Eli and the MC back to life. It is thanks to her that the MC can have a reunion with Eli at all.

I believe she refers to it as an “unfortunate occurrence” Where she wishes Mireil was a good dog who stayed to do what Thalia wanted. But isn’t wholly upset that two kingdoms she plans on decimating are actively killing one another.
