Another minor point of feedback:
You feed the enchanted mask your mana, and it obediently unlatches from your face with a quiet hum. As the tangles of your brown hair yank free from their confines and fall over your face in sweat-matted strands, you can see that Eli has all but turned to stone.
My mc had buzzed hair in this scene which means it shouldn’t be long enough to have strands to fall over his face here.
