To be fair, I’m sure mc knows that true “revenge” for their perceived undue treatment is impossible. Killing and death as we know it don’t really apply to beings like the messenger. Where could one even begin to torture it? How would you even know you’d harmed it?

Do we know that? Not beyond a shadow of a doubt. That shadow is very much there.

“If it bleeds…”

This is amazing, I loved the update, and I cannot wait to see more!

Found an error, Roulet is Paul in this version but swap to “her” in text :

The MC is honestly one of my favourite MCs in IF ever. I honestly love how strange and inhuman we can choose to act, they’re such a silly guy. I read somewhere on the tumblr blog that the MC is a preexisting character in Lovecraft’s world, so I wonder who is it? I don’t personally have much knowledge on this subject, but this story piqued my interests and I really want to learn more. I really like the settings of this IF, can’t wait to find out more about the world, the characters and MC’s past.

What’s one universe in a multiverse? Less space to pollute is a good thing, and Cthulhu deserves credit for that.

The yellow trench coat is a bit of a give away. But if you wanna know who the MC is based off of they’re: Hastur also known as The King in Yellow.

I absolutely adore this game! I love leaning into inhuman psychology. I’m also stunned I hadn’t realized who the MC actually was even though I love eldritch mythos. I re-read this game when I have spare time because it’s so fun.
