Most of the ones I know (read a bit) are too generic. Just power fantasy with OP MC with bland cast and plot. Got tired of it and stopped all together. There is one good exception which I have read. The mirror legacy. Surprisingly well written. Solid story and characters. Hoping to binge it after it gets completed.
Mirror legacy is fantastic, 800+ chap into it there. They can also take inspiration in some of korean cultivation novels as well tbh.
Edit: I hear you for the power fantasy thing, that’s why I stopped reading Donghua/Manhua tbh.

I haven’t read lot of korean webnovels. I read couple of solid ones. But those aren’t cultivation stories.

The other paths still think we are a hunter but its good so far. Mostly just building strength to get revenge right now but I like how we have different ways to go about it. Hopefully we can get a friend or companion soon so we are not alone. Just change the origin story slightly for the other paths but still let that fight happen. Merc could be tracking bandits for someone in that area staying at the village temporarily. Scholar could have been on his way looking for texts until he got accidentally got involved in the fight. Briefly using the village to get more texts. Nothing else needs to change. For a beginner u done good so far
