Another thing, how can I see ruo’s povs after the fight?

So no? What a shame.

Tang Ruo is the story’s true protagonist, with the universe bending over backward to have him advance as fast/high as possible. So odds are, the story will keep keeping you down. /s

I mean, technically you can get something like this in mortal mode:

(with some another 2k or so in strength&agility if you put on all possible rings, and another 4k to all stats if you abuse the tiger tattoo glitch) but the game will still describe you as weaker than Ruo, because it only checks vs something like 7k strength in the pre-tourney scene with them and doesn’t have variant for “crit success”.

The POVs are feature for patrons-exclusive version of the game (which also has some more of the actual story)

That scene was very annoying, why was the mc struggling against a guy a stage below them? My stats were very good yet still the mc couldn’t remove annoying Ruo sword

I feel the same about the fight against long Chen in the danger zone. It was completely anti-climatic for me. The whole clash of the armies was too.

The fight with Mogui is bugged. Every time i agree to join him i get an error.

Really? That entire fight was peak only thing I didn’t like was bum Chen’s win

The only good part is when tang ruo and the other guy fights against Long Chen, meanwhile we just observe which is disappointing. What did you like about the battle?

And before observing we have a “fight” Ai, the tigress scene is cool but it isn’t a fight (I had good relationship with her) and the army is dealt by the other one. In my first playthrough it was even worse because my character just surrendered.

That fight is pretty cool if you pick for your MC to go alone against all the tribe people and the early/mid Houtians, instead of sending out your own. An unstoppable wrecking ball sort of experience.

Unless you played like I did in my first playthrough, in which case you’ll get annihilated in seconds because someone poisoned you. The last, last hope of the Wu™. Defeated by a stinky weapon… :disappointed:

This is fair, but I don’t see how we could’ve competed without the expedition taking the rest of the book. Which is honestly what I thought would happen. Some kind of training arc in a pocket dimension where we build up an army, you know? With how everyone is only late houtian after 3 years, I’m not sure that’d be viable anymore. All in all, I consider it a decent subversion. It’s a good reality check if nothing else.

Nicky could add a comedic gameover like the time you try to stop Mo Long’s asura transformation, where the game constantly pleads you to reconsider and not join the fight. I can’t see that going well with most players either though.

If you are generous enough to also remove dao level restriction on perks, I will be very grateful, being a good guy restricts acquiring perks too much, if only we can buy dao fruits :pensive:

On the flipside, people who want to improve their elemental skill are kinda boned if they aren’t playing a “good guy” or didn’t kiss up to Ai.

My suggestion to add a +1 dao_space in the fight with the void bum dude in the arena was partially so you could get that skill increase without having to kill rebels, yes.

I don’t have any immediate idea for a good spot for alternative source of dao_body (or elemental for this matter) but maybe the upcoming tourney could have some opportunities. Just casually finding multiple dao fruits feels somewhat cheap here, especially if the skills are limited to level 5, if i understand it right.

How the F can you even withstand with that checks wtf

like damn no damage just insta death ?

That snippet was a joke. It’s made up.

Not that i’d put it past Nicky to take inspiration from it, now /s

Try the constitution blessing, maybe it will work.

To be fair, the original also results in Ruo simply executing you on failure, no damage.
Which kind of felt out of character but maybe his disappointment was so great it overwrote his 100% opinion.

Should’ve trained harder :pensive:

I can’t wait for the time where we get to refine tang rou into qi! I hope we get to steal some of the shit they constantly wear so we don’t have to be dripless

Ruo is imperial heir so he’s got a bodyguard following him everywhere to stop stuff like that happening. You get to see it both in prologue tourney it you try to beat him up too badly, and in the mission that he invites you on with high relationship.
