(WIP) Path of Martial Arts: The Beginning (Dark, Eastern Fantasy | 697k words)

Vampires dying in sunlight is a relatively new invention. Sure, they are usually weaker in sunlight or more active at night, but the whole bursting into flames with the dawn is a modern pop culture invention (traced back to the 1920’s “Nosferatu”).

Modern when compared to vampire myths that date back centuries.

1920 isn’t what I’d consider modern pop culture but I guess it is relatively new

Twilight vampires sparkle in sunlight. Cultivation vampires apparently just go “you dare junior” and “courting death” as usual

How do I post screenshots? It keeps saying that I can’t post pictures

Very sad, thanks for telling me about it

Chu Aiguo as a master feels like pretty chill but my power hungry side wants to get Yang Bohai as the master, also cause grueling training sounds cooler.

Although I’m contemplating if its worth being masterless after doing the stairs just to keep hair. Maybe Mei Mei can make a pill that gives a full head of hair.

With Chu Aiguo you don’t lose your hair (not yet at least)

I think you can still get more exp if you do all the steps and refuse the pill, but I might need to check that. I mean you’ll be masterless but Chu Aiguo didn’t really do much as a master anyways.

@fsix So Chu Aiguo is sadly the better option between the two if one wants to keep their hair what a pity.

You get potentially 150 exp from Chu Aiguo if you do extra good job, which matches the most you can get from the stairs trial (1 exp per step and 50 points bonus at the end) Aiguo is quite crafty this way, he teaches you without doing much of the work himself. /s

Lmfao this is perfection.

what do you have to do to get 150 exp? Im pretty sure I only got 100.

If you train your student well and tell her victory isn’t the most important, she’ll give up the top spot to the other person in the finals. That’s worth extra 50 exp.

smh, you pretty much have to sabotage her in order for her to lose. She starts with 5 power, picking See what she can do gives her +2, and she needs 7+ to get to the finals. (You can give her even more power in the talk before the final match, but the boosting options will make her want to win and you won’t get the bonus exp)

She got her ass kicked in my game though lol.

I picked the “Ive fought with many swordsmen so I know what Im doing”, and before the match I told her “victory isnt important, just do your best”. I also helped the three kids, so she lost in her final match to Da Da.

Also, how did you check the code? I havent figure out how to do that since the change to itchio.

no matter how much power Yang Bohay can give me if I go bald he is no longer an opinion (no one touches my silky hair, I said NO ONE)

Exactly, that YB is quite the manipulator and too cruel. He takes away our good-looking and our hair, and also wants to make us dependent on him through drugs

Drugs that only Yang Clan can produce that makes you stronger but have massive withdrawing effect if you stop consuming it… Yeah, what can go wrong (also hair, what the fuck Bohai, if you jealous just say so)

Yup, neither of these options increases your student’s power, so she’s left at 5 she starts with, which isn’t enough to get her to the finals.

Regarding game script, it’s all stored in the game’s html file, just unformatted. There’s some details upthread on how you can use search&replace in text editor to make it more readable.

Are there any benefits to Maintaining control over your tribe besides being able to kick out the suspicious disciples?
