(WIP) Corruptant [172k words, New Update: April 11th, 2024]

That cliff hanger hurt my soul. I want to kill Sam.

Fixed it! What? If you can’t kill the people who were suppose to be your friends/family but left you to be tortured for 13 years, who can you kill.

I’d also love the option to leave the spikes in the MCs mouth. Let all the peons see a little of what was done, so they understand when they find a knife in their back.

They didn’t though, that’s all on the adopted mother. Sam pisses me off right now, but they didn’t have anything to do with that.

They didn’t make the decision to put the MC there. But they knew where you were the MC was and didn’t even fight enough to visit. For a best friend that is fairly bad behavior and then to treat the MC like crap after what the MC has been through? As far as we know right now, the Mc was discovered to be corrupted and imprisoned and tortured. None of that is a reason for Sam to act how they do.

If I was a betting person I would put my money on a returning memory that involves the MC going bonkers and doing something to hurt Sam. Possibly related to the scar on Sam’s face. But even if that ends up being true the MC has more than paid for their crimes.

Adopted mom already said they wouldn’t let them. Did you expect Sam to fight their way in alone or something? They more than likely kept that cell heavily guarded considering your blood is where they get their weapons from. And no one’s going to help them or try to sneak them in considering you’re a Corruptant.

I never said it was. I even said Sam’s pissing me off right now, but the one responsible for what happened to MC, and who ordered and let it happen is the mother.

Doesn’t the blame fall on the council and the King???

Technically yes, but 13 years is a long time to break someone out. And i doubt the adoptive mother or best friend really even tried.

Yeah sure, get the MC out in a fort full of blackguard, and have everyone then sentenced for desertion by the king.

Yeah, better leave them to be tortured daily!

My guess there is more to the Torture than just some sadistic thing.

From what I saw, it seem like the world is at war, and trying to prevent one of those ‘End of the World’ kinda of thing.

Beside, when one has their hands tied…there isn’t much they can do.

Maybe keeping the PC in the Dungeon was the best outcome…

The King is where the buck ultimately stops the adoptive mom seems to be behind most of it in practice and mc’s bio dad who is also some high noble was probably also 100% on board.

Nice story so far by the way but, yeah, my mc dislikes most of the characters already. They could have least have had the mercy to kill the mc years ago.

Who said anything about getting the mc out? Just killing them would have been merciful and something nice Sam could probably have done in those 13 years, had they really wanted to. The only ones dead in that scenario would have been mc and possibly Sam.

They said mc can, it requires decapitation apparently. As Astarion says: “one good swing and then nothing that is really all it would have required for Sam to be a good pal. Sam is this high ranking Blackguard so they would have known.

Yeah but that is just it…

I don’t think the mc can die. So then what?

Torture is byproduct of bleeding mc to get the blood, from which weapons are made.

Decapitation apparently works

and you can’t die. So…like I said, there is more to this than meet the eye.

Where would be the fun in that? We would have no Story if they did that.

Only one dead would be Sam, because they’re not gonna get help from anyone and Blackguard don’t actually want you dead cause your blood makes their weapons stronger. But yea sure Sam will manage to somehow get into your heavily guarded cell alone with a fort full of Blackguard.

Being a Sam and hearing about Story’s Sam…

Its So freaking Weird! :joy:

He is not some street urchin anymore he’s pretty high up in their ranks, I think if he really wanted to he could have figured something out in over a decade. Any security system built by people has weaknesses.

Did Sam even know you were down in the Dungeon??

The adopted mom is the one in charge they’re not just gonna let them in. Sam’s doesn’t have enough power to get in your cell considering the mom also wouldn’t let them see you.

Yea they did, but Mom forbid her from seeing you.
