Well she already had a head start and what with the fight with her after awakening a power but they would both be on level of skill later. Shes not even worried about MC at all regardless of power up so maybe that arrogance will bite back at her later.
Somehow I doubt it. I guess it depends on how much help formal training is with magic in this gameworld because if it is a huge factor mc is screwed as a penniless outcast with no resources now.
Well we’ll leave that to the judge later when we find some tutors to try to help resolve skill issues. I mean u can do fair bit of damage already despite the difference. Besides magic isn’t the go to skill for everything and I doubt we’ll gonna be broke after being thrown out since Father was at least responsible enough to lend us some money even if it’s not loads.

To your first question, kinda. One of my planned endings borders on that. As for the voice, I can give you a couple hints. Look at the very first page, where the voice introduces itself. Then, look for references about the Forbidden. There are two, one in the beginning lore-drops, and one in dialogue with Thaddien.
It seems to be for everything regarding power among the nobility in the gameworld, if it was etiquette, charm, grace, the ability to quote and recite poetry or classical works of literature or heck even physical beauty chances are mc would have their sister beat already and there would be no need for a disastrous ritual if the nobility of the game world saw any skill or set of skills as being equally worthy as magical prowess.
For low level mages like mc, certainly. By the time we next meet her we should be careful the sister doesn’t blow up mc with one word, goes for any high level mage, btw.
That would have been disastrous, both for the mc and their noble house, she may have magical prowess but it seems she really doesn’t seem to have the temperament to rule successfully. If she was the perfect heir already father may not have bothered with the ritual and simply gifted and then shuffled away mc to a backwater cottage in the countryside, or if mc was lucky a backwater estate, in the middle of nowhere already and she would have already been made the heir. That she isn’t in spite of her considerable magical prowess means the father sees her as unfit otherwise, which is why he attempted the disastrous ritual on the mc.
The funny thing that ritual wasn’t really needed if father just named our sister as the next in line when he passed away. Kind of dumb his part if he truly cared about the family image. Besides if the MC endured the harassment and stuff in the past why would it matter now if they still decided to do stuff other way instead of showboating magic becoming a massive target due to that. Also magic even has its limits since a long drawn out fight would be all it takes to render it useless after running out mana.
Her temperament is only like that through because MC had no magic already causing problems for the house and two is because she wants to be the heir in line which obviously mother supports. Most of the rage is aimed at MC anyway. If MC wasn’t in the picture she would cool off. Maybe it might of caused some issues but its better for an adapt magic user to represent the house than a powerless MC since it matters a lot for any noble houses. Father probably just prefers us over her or believes the first born should be the heir. Still confused why he ordered the guards to get us when the ritual destroyed everything, it wasn’t our fault since even the church wasn’t completely sure would happen since they probably never tried to force magic on people before.
He dosen’t care whether it was your fault or not, the simple fact that you used (inadvertently) Forbidden Magic meant he had to intervene, especially with the One Church present. It’s like if you showed signs of witchcraft in front of a priest in the middle ages.
How do u win against Mc sister
From what I have seen you don’t. I got her down to about 70 hp with shadow/blood magic and a bit of luck. Thematically and in terms of character I think my mc will go for malefic and then mostly the devil aspect of it as it fits more with his posh, aristocrat style, although I fear it will be long time before poor mc gets to indulge in luxury again. Think a male Maleficent type, depending on if mc can get powerful enough in the game.
Wonder if, at really high levels of devil expertise, mc can start offering people deals with the devil, or possibly themselves, in exchange for their souls as a way to grow more powerful?
Right now at our super low levels black star magic is overpowered because of the guaranteed stun spell.

It’s a scripted defeat, to drive the plot forewards, you’ll fight her again later.
I’ll have another update coming out at some point tonight, so I’ll figure out how to complile it into an executable then.
I’m introducing a corruption mechanic next update, which causes physical changes to the MC the higher it goes. And yes, I do find that umbral magic right now is the strongest, so I’ll do some balancing later. As for the “deal with the devil” thing, I’ve got plans for combat spells of that type, and one of the endings will have that aspect. Thanks for enjoying!
