I’m surprised “Buried Love” hasn’t been mentioned here yet. You are a regular human on a dating show with supernatural creatures. Big fan of the romance options and even for someone who doesn’t watch dating shows IRL I really enjoy the premise for an interactive fiction.

Crown of Ashes and Flames is one of those ones that annoys me because, objectively, it is very good, but subjectively I can’t see myself playing it in any other way than a bitter malcontent who hates basically every character.

I didn’t like Ros in this IF, especially that their precious heir…
And… I don’t know if it was that game or I made wrong with some other (I played quite a long time ago) but I think there were a lot choices that forced some behavior, although I would like to play my MC differently, they didn’t fit their personality.
In general, MC felt like weak despised shit (which is understandable considering that they were a child and in what situation they were) but still it was annoying for me. I hate playing weak characters that are insulted and they can’t do much about it.

Aquarii is a new story that just dropped.
After being abducted by two aliens, their spaceship crashes and leaves you stranded on a galaxy called 'Aquarii", which is populated by a species called ‘Mitans’.
You’re taken in by the Queen of Aquarii, where she reveals you are a child of one of Aquarii’s gods. A cool idea in theory, but it appears the Mitan’s aren’t particularly happy with a human being half-god.

What has happened?
It used to be a WIP like most, full customization. It promised to be a brilliant story and there were things that I love and are rare (MC can fly and they actually did it in the game).
Then the author said that MC can be only a woman and changed the gender of all ROs to females, too. Yeh, great.
Why not write a game only for women at first and save others exclusion and disappointment

That’s the risk of reading “works in process” I guess. Recently I’m thinking about stopping following them… Most WIPs are either abandoned or changed so that I don’t like it anymore.
