I say no. If you like Ricard forcing feels wrong even if it is ironic. If he mad at you it gives him more reason to hate and a kingdom to rage civil war someday if not by him one of his kids. It depends how much you trust Ricard in my opinion.

Lena. My MC and her have so much in common. Their fathers left them rule in a messy situation that left their brothers scared for life. Their fathers would prefer if their brothers were the rulers. And most importantly, they both hate MC’s father.

I really wanted to go for her but I feel like there just wasn’t much development/a relationship beyond her doing war crimes (such as potentially murdering your innocent sweet potentially adoptive child and definitively murdering many others,) and you just relentlessly being nice to her until she felt a little bit bad about it?

And rhivenia which is most powerful kingdom in north loses it’s full treasury just to buy cure of it

This also means it will take a LONG time until the book is actually finished, as opposed to just making a second one with current story and plot.

It just depends on your opinion. Some of the scenes played out a lot better here but in my opinion some characters are worse here. Just try it out and decide for yourself. The old one will be replaced when released apparently

I disagree with this, the characters feel worse. Also the scenes with father are poorly made.
his death doesn’t really feel impactful and instead of a strong father he was, now he is a weak man controlled by vassals, dying in hands of his wife and then the main character is spurred onwards to becoming king.

I played the old version, I think the rewrite is better overall, but the old version still has its advantages over the new version, but overall the rewrite is better in terms of characters, scenarios, and narrative style. Of course, this is my opinion and everyone has their own opinion, the old version is also considered a very good game to me.

Exactly they are both good. We can agree on that. Some scenes were played out better here especially the royal sibling rivalry here. The main thing I have against this is that you’re going to be the successor no matter unlike the old where I liked to play behind the scenes. I just can’t stand our step bro on this one compared to his old self who kept that golden child entitlement mostly in check.

I have do agree that both versions are good. I think this one is better in an overall sort of way. But there are a few things about the original I prefer.
I prefer the option to not be chosen by the sword. It just works better for my MC, who doesn’t want to be Queen and isn’t that much more qualified than the others. In the original, I was playing Richard’s right hand. He was the soldier and I was the diplomat. I honestly think that could have been a successful duo.
Speaking of Richard, I prefer him in the original. I’m a Richard defender, and I always will be. But he has lost some of his charm as he’s gotten older in this version. And maybe he’s meant to be a bit of an antagonist in this version, but that would be sad to me.
The last thing I’ll mention is Richard and Clara’s relationship. In the original, the options are she gets together with him, with us, or with no one. But now her relationship with Richard isn’t possible, I don’t think. Which is a shame, because I honestly thought they were cute together. And I liked that Richard had something good in his life, especially now when he can’t be king.

I think author did that because it was hard to write three routes and most people choose king mc route. She said something about writing other routes dlc when game is finished or something.
I think it’s good decision since most players play that route and it increase quality of that route.

Just because he can’t become king of rhivenia doesn’t mean he can’t become king at all.
He can king of his grandfather’s kingdom since his uncle is unmarried without heir or in arrange marriage which mc can make for him.there are lots of woman besides clara which may like him as well.he still is prince of most powerful kingdom of North.
