Might depend also on factors of treatment. If bad, then makes sense. If been treated good, along with that gift. He regretted calling me to arena and felt bad about it. No combat, had no desire to fight him.

I really want that to happen, especially after good treatment (let me explain):
The MC can make the argument that Richard is nothing but a petulant man-child after treating him better than my other siblings and he turns on me, the only one who treats him like a brother (Freya doesn’t give a damn about him) and is mad that some sword chose me as the successor, not him.

Richard is just dumb and stupid, everytime he is craving admiration, please tell me why u will duel your younger brother in a foreign land because the King deemed him unworthy and Clara has feelings for the MC and not him . Charles was just disappointed with him when he did that

He doesn’t care for the throne but his mother is forcing him to make himself worthy and started brainwashing him about his step siblings being a threat. He just wants to be center of attention with people who approve his actions and love him. It’s understandable he repenting the MC for being in the way of the that but I don’t think he’s stupid enough to side with the enemy. Even if he’s spared and they somehow won, he’s just going to be hated by most and remembered as a traitor

I was really hoping instead of modification we would get the promised 2nd book.

We will receive a book 2 but from what I’ve heard/read the author wasn’t satisfied with the original story so the remake came into being. Also from what I’ve heard/read some of the original book 2 will be part of the remake book 1 which means more to look forward and a new story to discover when the new book 2 comes into being

I’m not surprised about changing it. Its a lot of variables. Easier to do one.
I do prefer Richard in charge of the messed up condition of the Kingdom.
I plan on uniting myself, Clara and Lena with our adopted daughter. Don’t know if Clara and Lena wants to have a kid. I couldn’t help with and don’t want to think on. As I would be Queen regardless in new version.

Last I heard the “new” book one would take the form of an update to the existing book one so at least those who already purchased the first version don’t have to buy a second. Really hope that proves to be true!
