I like Clara. Knowing that she never liked him. I started romancing her. Only bit later, not at start. Its only once talk to Richard and Clara before I do. Thus, intro wise, I will assume otherwise, as would. They keep getting close. I avoid. Then learn. Then stop avoiding.

All family members and love interests definitely have their own goals and minds set to obtaining them. It’s both moving and… frustrating at times ?
I must admit, I grew irritated even miffed with the family members ; in a good way. Really brings to live the family drama and troubled state they’re all in. We became monarch and at the same time a pin cushion for everyone. It’s tiring. Everyone only ever does what they want without any regard for us. You really feel that everyone is tired and worn down, acting that way ; everyone is looking for something.
Our MC was catapulted into a reality he didn’t choose, and has to deal with everyones resentment and wants and needs. However justified, it’s also fair to point out that the siblings, mothers or even Clara came across as completely selfish in the last chapter, damn near scornful in their actions even without them realizing it or thinking about it.
Everyone for very personal and very valid reasons, but it affects us. We’re really caught in between all of this.
I found myself growing closer to Revna, Daemir and Sir Arnold. Richard is the only one we had a heartfelt conversation with.
I hope we get the opportunity to pull them to the side individually or collectively to lay it down to them, confront them with truths. I’d love to tell them :
"We’ve been through a lot, I’m doing what I can to mend this with (all of) you. We can, this wasn’t our fault, but we’re contributing to our misery. But you (all) expect me to deal with and accept you at your most unstable. You don’t discuss, you don’t talk, you announce and I have to deal with your mood swings and their consequences. You all have been victims, we can fix, we can forgive and move on, but i refuse to suffer your actions which harm me directly or indirectly any longer. There won’t be a next time, do not disappoint me again. "

how is Clara selfish? One of her reasons for distancing herself from the MC is because want to be to cause of the friction between Richard and MC.
You can say removing yourself from a situation because you feel like you’re making it worse is misguided but you can’t say it selfish.
I agree with the message you’re trying to convey (except the “you all been victims” part alvena is not a victim) but I don’t think a speech like this would be effective. especially towards someone like Atheris who probably respond with something along the lines of “how dare you act like I’m the problem when all I’ve done is look after both you and Freya so you two wouldn’t know the loneliness that I suffered and all I get in return is chastisement!”
There also a lot of deep wounds between characters like Richard/atheis and alvena/Isabelle that no amount of words from the MC can fix, much like you said they need to forgive each other. Though in alvena case she needs to feel remorse for what she did to Isabelle and ask for her forgiveness.

This, frankly, comes across as insufferable grandstanding far more than any actual attempt to reach, communicate and fix anything. This sort of confrontation renders such MC just the pot calling the kettle black, since you basically expect all of them to just listen and deal with MC’s mood swing. And that ultimatum at the end just takes the cake. Kinda begs to be instantly questioned, “Or what…?”

I think a more reflective approach might work better, like try to get everyone to see each other perspective rather than go “me me me” because everyone is going “me me me”

That’s one of her reasons, but it still is far fetched for her to remove herself completely so suddenly after having feelings for us the whole game ; not to mention she admits herself she did it to find herself. Misguided yes, malicious no, but definitely selfish here.
it is really selfish that she wants to grow as a person and be judged by on her own merits rather then who her lover is?

Even if it technically is, then MC who wants Clara to forfeit her desires because they are not in line with MC’s own wishes, and especially one who’d resent her over picking her own interest over that of MC, would be just as selfish.
It’s basically the “if you love them, let them go” thing.

As much as I would love to say something like this, we are shooting ourselves in the foot with a poisoned bolt by saying this to the entire family. Nobody likes to be told that they are a burden, this is basically yelling it from the rooftop.
I do think however, that there needs to be a collective talk with the entire family once somebody messes up big time again with the aims of harming a member of the family, knowingly or unknowingly (looking at you, Freya). To be honest, it’s probably one of the Royal widows.
That, I think is the moment where the MC is allowed to present an offer: either chill out and avoid each other completely or we send one or both of them to their kingdoms (Isabelle to Poleria, Alvena to wherever grandma is from). One that doesn’t have to be seen as a threat since the Royal heirs are all of age and can visit their parents with ease.
Something to consider, I hope.

Will we be able to change or evolve our relationships later on? In most cases I went for friendship because I felt it was too early and didn’t know the characters enough to choose anything deeper.
Honestly, all the more reason it needs to be said. Because they are a burden. Their petty squabbles are wasting precious time that could be spent preparing for war. MC is the youngest and yet, they’re behaving like the only adult. They need brutal honesty or else they’ll just keep doing the same shit.

Yeah but being confrontational doesn’t really solve the problem; when people are flat-out told that they’re useless or actively a problem, they’ll just lash out and double down because nobody is ever willing to accept when they’re wrong. Frankly, the fact that Richard is willing to lay everything out on the table and just tell you to get it over with and kill him speaks volumes to either his level of maturity or how ready he was to finally die, and that was practically a once in a lifetime miracle case of someone seeing the light.
Nobody else in the family displays any real level of maturity, and due to all the emotional scars everyone has inflicted, anybody meeting anyone else halfway is extremely unlikely; case in point, Atheris outright tells you that if she ever goes off the deep end and becomes a threat to you, that she wants you to kill her. The only reasonable way to get them to change their ways is an actual discussion without accusation so they have the room to acknowledge their own flaws, or just killing them. Killing them outright is just easier.

Be confrontational with someone and they will double down purely due to principle, nothing else. They may be a burden and a hinderance, but they will make your life worse rather than make theirs better due to you pointing it out.

From what i remember some changes to what route you’re on may be possible down the road, but unsure if this includes getting on romance route at all later if you initially passed on it or some adjacent variant (like lust)
What lust? The most I got was the ability to enter into a relationship (single heart) but since I didn’t commit to anyone, I’m guessing that locked me out of the “lust” routes as well.
Some characters like Revna allow you to enter a purely physical relationship with them rather than a romantic one, I think the symbol is an outline of a heart rather than the filled in heart of an actual romance.

It is an option some of the characters have when you’re given choice what sort of relationship you want to start with them. E.g.:
(Jarean)
(Revna)
The choices marked with a star are the “lust routes”, based on physical attraction rather than romantic feelings.

I can’t think of any member of the family responding well to harsh criticism. (especially Atheris, Jesus Christ never mind double down she would quadruple down. 
) Or even being necessary in Freya case, who really just needs a sit down about why poisoning guards just to see your BF is not a good idea.

Reminder that if you refuse to consider killing Richard and tell her that you’d never turn on your family, she essentially tells you that if she ever goes off the deep and and betrays you, she would actively want you to kill her. Even she knows she’s crazy and would double down. Strangely, that honesty is why I want to trust her so much; unlike everyone else who believes they’re some martyr who’s done no wrong, she definitely picks up on the fact that she’s easily capable of becoming the bad guy if she’s not one already.
