The Sword of Rhivenia: Book One (CHECK #3830)

Being in hard place because you lack support of people who are supposed to employ the physical domination over population for you and thus instill fear has nothing to do with modern sensibilities.

It’s a core issue every dictator has to deal with (by ensuring said support or facing a coup) regardless of era.

Where did I claim dictatorial modus operendi has anything to do with modern sensibilities ?

Have you read my post ?

I said the mode of operation of a dictator is same regardless of the era, that was sorta my point.

In middle ages people were socially and religiously dogmatized to follow their overlord.

Otherwise people like Henry VIII or Ivan the Terrible would have been gutted with impunity.

This.

You didn’t. You’ve confused statements of people who pointed out logistical problems MC’s dictatorship was facing with “projecting modern sensibilities influenced democratic world view”.

Where in the book does it say that?

Isn’t that the whole point of the magic sword? to announce their God’s choice for the next monarch?

Technically it’s a memory transfer device – it stores memories of dead rulers, and then passes them to the next heir it designates as the most suitable (compatible?)

You know this has kind of sat in the back of my head for a while, how much does the sword store and share. Like if the MC gets chosen they obtain their fathers memories which would imply that the dad had the same thing happen where he obtained the previous rulers memories, wouldn’t that stack up? If we do experience every memory put forward from our father than wouldn’t that include him experiencing the memories of his father.

I’d guess there’s some decay to this process – the heir doesn’t receive all of their ancestor’s memories to begin with, and then over the course of their own life is bound to forget some of what they received. So then they only pass (part of) their own memories to their offspring along with part of what they retained of their predecessor’s memories. Repeat that process a few times and with the transfer there’s very few memories of your grand-grand-grand-grand-parents remaining.

Which was created by their God? So what’s your point exactly?

My point exactly was discussing what’s “the whole point of magic sword”.

Not to rush the author but does anyone know what happened to book 2’s progress? Patreon and the author’s tumblr seemed to go silent.

We are worried about Nutella’s disappearance too, the details are scarce could be personal problems in general, wider Azerbaijan stuff or who knows but for her to go silent this long yeah not liking it one bit.

Did Alvena love Matteo?

No Alvena loved our father but she knew Matteo loved her.

I see, thank you, on the book 2 demo Isabella mentioned alvena seduced Matteo so, was just a bit confused whether it was just lies, or she seduced him and loved him or just seduced him to use him

Nah Matteo was obsessed with Alvena, Isabel will use this as an excuse to blame Mc and Alvena if they executed him.

Yeah it seems so, thanks for the information

Is it just me or I feel like the mc is the most disrespected ruler?
