One of the reasons i decided to try this book is exactly because i saw Ophaesia in the title.
see, iam a fantasy and role playing adddict, two things i just love about fantasy tales is character and world depth. Since “heirs” implies something like medieval fantasy and “Ophaesia” a whole new country. I just had to read this.
Like Narnia, i dont think i ever heard anyone say the whole thing.
Personal opnion, i think the title is good as it is, i call it “heirs” when im thinking to myself, however were i to recommend it for someone else, i would use the whole name.
I think you meant to direct that at @Fawkes not me I don’t have a real talent for creative writing and I’m the second fittest I’ve ever been in my life at the moment.
The title is what attracted me to the game! With most WIPs I tend to go off of how interesting the name sounds, initially. It’s intriguing and unique. Having Ophaesia in the title draws attention, I think.
I rather like the current title. As I like politics, and court politics, I would probably check out a game called “Seven Heirs” but that is just me. “Ophaesia” is a bit more vague and I do not know how quickly I would check that out. I do like the current title though as it lets me know it is probably a royalty focused game, and the fictional name of “Ophaesia” hints to me it will probably be a fantasy game. I think “Seven Heirs” would work as a great short name though for those already familiar with the game to refer to it as.
He actually sends for you specifically. It’s when you’re getting ready to see him that you meet your Head Tutor, the person basically in charge of all of your affairs until you’re an adult. Your Head Tutor is Brother Kosphoren, a Priest of Myteus. He essentially replaces Sister Elesyth.
Kosphoren genuinely cares for the MC and will treat them kindly and with affection, but he will also scold them if they’re unkind to others. He’s a very good man and a good influence.
I should mention that he is a very important character in the series – one of the most important after your family and the love interests. He’s also one of my favorite characters.
The matter of Kosphoren’s appointment as the MC’s Head Tutor is a layered issue with a lot of politics involved. It is a big responsibility, and the fact they gave it to an eighteen-year-old greenhorn definitely ruffled some feathers, especially within the Priesthood.
Absolutely! You get a chance to be an asshole very early in chapter two.
