What I really enjoy is the different options on the choices are like the grimoires and background have effects on how your character reacts to situations and choices even if its short its really interesting.

The different magic books grimoires I guess lol and I love the different kinds of magic I am really pulled to necromancy it’s going to be so cool I know it and the roommates are so different Super cool I don’t really type or talk much I hope this is ok

No. The background is meant to influence MC’s personality and background knowledge. The magic is meant to be influenced by the MC’s special skills in a normal everyday sense. The intelligence, essence, and constitution. Which is set at first by background but can be raised higher by individual choices that form the MC’s accomplishments and interests.

Thank you for your stats and info. Seems a lot of people are interested in learning death magic. An army of the undead accomplishes the goal of showing who’s in charge Ok but Arcane does have mind control magic and is more versatile in general.

Well for me it was just thematic.
A perky goth Mortician’s son? Of course the magic of life and death would sing to his soul.
When there’s more to the game, I’ll build other characters for the other options.

With the most recent update now including the lunch scene and Rune Magic lesson the first school day at the academy has concluded. The story has now reached the point where the MC has free time during their afternoon.
I am considering providing the option to participate in up to three activities and I want to get reader feedback on what they’re most interested in. Whether I’m providing too many options, too little, whether I should increase the amount of activities available in an afternoon, or if some suggestions just don’t make sense.
As of now the ideas for options include hanging out with Alex, Eliza, Ramona, Hussein, or Ilsa individually. Exploring the forest where the MC can meet a kitsune if they look around normally or a vampire if they look in the caves. Going to the island shore to meet a mermaid, and spending time improving a skill either through their hobby or activity hosted by the school.
After which the scene would transition to a hang out scene with the dorm mates for the night portion.
