A “kong type transformation” would be more suitable for a primate species. However, I’m uncertain if I’ll implement it in the near future. Nevertheless, you can expect some inspiration from the monsterverse here and there as the story unfolds.
Mothra is way too cute, she might be my second fav kaiju after godzilla.
Progress Update: I have a few updates to share with you:
I’ve written approximately 12k words that will push our little salamander’s journey forward. I’ve also made an effort to retroactively introduce more choices, allowing players to have greater control over the narrative. While I can’t provide an exact release date for this update, I’m actively polishing the code and writing new content every day, but you can expect the update within a week or two.
I’ve decided to launch a Patreon account for those who wish to support me. I’m putting a lot of thought into offering valuable perks for patrons to make it a worthwhile experience for them. However, please note that joining my Patreon will be entirely optional, as I intend to keep the story accessible to everyone.
Finally, I want to express my immense gratitude for the overwhelming support from this community over the past week. I genuinely appreciate each and every one of you, and I hope that as the story progresses, you’ll continue to enjoy it more and more. Thank you.
Hello, everyone! Today, I have a question that I’m really eager to hear your answers to (for development reasons ): Among the Ro’s, which one piques your interest the most, and what types of encounters would you like to have with them?
A situation where we can potentially be the one that saves them from a dangerous situation where they could have been killed or heavily injured and we slowly nurse them back to health gaining their trust along the way before slowly start a relationship with them seeing us as more than just a monster
@Beastup And if we are gonna get some dinosaur evolutions, then I have a few images for the Rex type forms that I found on google that you can maybe use as references.
Last time I felt a emotion something close to what I am feeling right now was the time I saw 2 girls 1 cup (if you somehow dont know what it is dont search it I warn you) at the age of 10
I mean, it’s a valid question lol! This is how I would imagine a female Godzilla MC from this game humanoid form to look though if they still learn a polymorph spell.
Bet some of y’all would be glad to see this in-game. @Beastup Should I remove the Godzilla image a few posts above that some people are complaining about?
I agree Zarkrai’s question was pretty valid and the image is funny.
On that same subject, I do wonder about the evolution line. Since we start as a Salamander, I feel like we could easily be pigeonholed into different flavors of dragons, don’t get me wrong, dragons are cool but there’s a lot of other reptile related monster that could be cool too.
Having a Dragon path, a Hydra path and a Godzilla path could be neat and if the author want to put the extra effort, you could have subpath within it like Holy Dragon, Evil Dragon and Dragonlord or Gozilla, Mecha Godzilla and Gozilla Jr / Zilla (basically smaller but more agile and faster like in the cartoon).
Two other option could be a Tarrasque (either from the legend directly or inspired by the various tabletop version) and a giant snake.
The author could even use the female Godzilla form I posted as a reference for gender dimorphism for the evolution forms. Basically making a female Godzilla more slimmer and athletic like in the image I posted just remove the obvious breasts on the form if they wanted to. Gender dimorphism feels like it would make sense in this game. So, for example, some species could have males who are naturally bigger and stronger than females while the females would be naturally faster and smarter or the reverse like with the Yautja since while the male Predators are strong, smart and fast, the females are superior in every way being bigger, taller, stronger, smarter and faster. The part I find a little funny with female Yautja is that even when mating, they’re dangerous since it was known that they would literally throw their mate across the room during the act. That definitely feels like a death by Snu Snu lol!
Oh, Dimorphism is a great idea actually, it could make for some really fun mechanics and could even change which evolution someone would prefer based on their characters being male or female.
Not sure how that would work since nonbinary is an option here. Maybe having your human gender identity be separate from your actual physical sex as a monster would work?
Like for example, if the MC was a male creature related to Norse mythology, then they would become a Viking like monster and if they were female then it would be a Valkyrie type with each forms having their own type of abilities with some of them being shared between species. And Non-Binary can just choose between whichever they feel closer to.
Sexual dimorphism can be observed throughout the animal kingdom, from differences in size, coloration, and even specific traits that are not shared between the sexes. I’m certainly considering the implementation of these unique traits in the game, albeit within reason. For instance, incorporating “breasts” or mammary glands for a female lizard/salamander might not make sense since they are not mammals. However, variations in size could be a plausible representation, as in many reptilian species, females tend to be slightly larger than their male counterparts.
I like all of these, im also seriously starting to consider including some arts in the game to enhance the overall experience. So these are all helpful.
