I’m not entirely sure about adding different starting locations, but the other three are definitely part of the plan.

Honestly, in terms of storytelling, explaining why this species begins in a cave should be the easiest one lol.

@Beastup I got a question now that I think about it. You said this game was inspired by Godzilla and that we’re most likely are gonna get that form eventually. My question is are we gonna be as big as Godzilla is as we get stronger in that form, will we just be a smaller more manageable version or same size as Godzilla but we can polymorph into a humanoid version of it whether as a lizardman/lizardwoman type, human with Godzilla’s traits type or just looking completely human?

@Beastup I had a thought about different starting locations, why not just add a few more areas to the cave and each form can start in a different section. Won’t add to much writing/coding wise and you could even add in some fights with the other forms that grant biomass. So like starting as salamander you come across the area you would start as a spider, just and example, and find a little spider you can fight. I don’t know if any of that makes sense, but it would mean getting a couple unique starting areas.

Heck you could even randomize which other starting area you can find with each playthrough. So one time you find aforementioned spider area, then another time you could find a…idk, what else lives in caves…slime? Yeah a slime starting area. Just a thought though

Bats, Worms (among other insects) and other monsters could live in cave. It’s a fantasy world so I wouldn’t be surprised to see a Nightmare Cannibal Berserker Bunny wielding a sickle and a claw gauntlet on the other hand. Go wild with your imagination.

Liking the story so far, as well as being very interesting. Waiting to see how all of this play out and find out what is beyond class s.

U don’t need to start in different places. U will adding extra stress and pressure u don’t need. Stick with the cave and limit the mc species 3 or 4.

Honestly, I am against more starting species choices, simply for the fact that those are time and effort that can instead be used to flesh out what is already there.

I’ll take a deeper and more fleshed out branching evolution of our initial species over the possibility to start as another species.

Agree, more starting species means need to code more variations for each, including their different evolutions trees and their unique powers. Would rather focus on evolving into desired being through lizard species only

We’ll see, but to be honest i really want to recreate this scene with the godzilla evolution lol.

Regarding the starting locations, my initial idea was to tie specific locations to certain species. For instance, a salamander would start in a cave, while a feline species would begin in a more open plain. The intention behind this was to potentially reduce the workload and maintain consistency in how each starting species is introduced. However, we’ll see how this goes.

I would love to see that. It would also be funny if you put another transmigrator (whether japanese or not) to react to our MC in that form like; wannabe MC “What th-!? Godzilla!? What’s he doing here! He’s not supposed to be in a fantasy world, that’s not how it goes in the novels!?” Also to see if a Godzilla MC can become strong enough to fight a God level dragon like that Divine Dragon that the system mentioned. We would be like “Instead of King of Monsters, why not become the God of Monsters…”

I hope so. I like POVs in these games. They’re a nice perspective to see since not a lot of IF games has them. (Not sure if I used IF right since Idk what it stands for or means).

That’s always been a good thing in my experience even just giving us the option to see events and our actions, specifically from ro’s and or side characters perspective it really helps establish our actions have weight and consequences beyond just affecting us, of course that would mean more time and effort from the author just how much is dependant on how detailed they are. But it would also show us the world and it’s inhabitants pov giving us unique information on events since we’re going to apparently be the equivalent of a new super power, imagine if a new major country just popped into existence the repercussions would be extreme are they friends? Enemies? Or just a neutral party? For anyone who’s seen “reincarnated as a slime” or “overlord” you know how others especially humans may not react well to a powerful new individual or nation, opinions are not often positive outside of individuals personal dealing with that new powerful individual or nation after all upsetting a world’s power balance usually brings a LOT of negative attention.
