Shadow of the Eagles

Current plan is Steam Early Access before the end of ‘26. Maybe also an itch release?

Internally, I’m shooting for an early access release (with probably the first three or four acts complete) on December 2nd, 2026 (so, the anniversary of Austerlitz), but this is a purely tentative “would like to have” more than anything else.

Congrats on the Patreon success for this project! Very happy to see it and extremely well deserved.

imo, it’s not a success until I deliver what I’ve promised - both to my backers, and to myself.

Shadow of the Eagles, already sounds very, very interesting. I have confidence it will turn out nothing short of great!

A great attitude to have, especially with Patreon. But as a long time patron and fan of your work delivery has never been a problem so far!

Excited to see how the project evolves. It’s an ambitious one.

Cannot wait to befriend Bernadotte. I am interested in your depiction of him, to say the least. It’s the first time where I know you hate the character.

I don’t actually hate Bernadotte all that much, I just think Sergeant Belle-Jambe is a funny little guy and a fun dude to performatively hate.

Just a few unrelated teasers to hint at just how much progress I’ve made this past month.

I wondered if your classes would include “British sellout” or “undercover intelligence agent”.

Oh, I’ve definitely got some extremely out-there backgrounds planned: Defrocked Priest, University Dropout, Former Royal Army Sergeant, and American.

He’s actually just medium-sized during his time!?

Slightly taller than average, actually - unless you believe Owen Connelly, who argued he actually was 5’2.

Was he just shorter than the line infantry and grenadiers he was often around (in addition to the difference in French and English measurements)?

Some of his Marshals were pretty tall too. Mortier was six and a half feet, iirc.

It’s nice to see the character will have portraits. Also there some questions i have.

  1. Is the portrait evolve with our age and position in the army?
  2. What is the locked choice on the character background?

Stay healthy and thank you for the update

That is the plan, although that is also depends on the budget I end up working with.

The plan for the final game is to have three initial Classes (Labourer, Shopkeeper, and Criminal). The remaining six will be unlocked by earning achievements for subsequent runs. These include the Aristocrat, the Seminarian, the Foreign Exile, and the Revolutionary.

Aw man, I like starting as an aristo. It’s a really fun perspective on things. Especially as a citoyenne to boot.

Cool i love the portrait idea. I hope the exile is either German, polish and England because this 3 is the 3 most intresting position during the war. Stay healthy as usual

It is… one and a half of those things (there are three potential options)
