Shadow of the Eagles

Not a veteran, but maybe the child of one. All starts begin at 18-22 in 1792. The American is an ideological volunteer recruited by Thomas Paine via his advocacy for the Revolution.

Little bit let down but still cool and make more sense. The veteran In my mind my character just go there to kick British because he still not satisfied doing that in his home war:sweat_smile:

You have no idea how happy I am to hear this as an Irishman! I hope at some point we can interact with Wolfe Tone. I’m so hyped for this.

Cata i just read your blog, can I ask questions as non patreon if you allow and if it not much spoilers. Which branch of service that can make me meet Suchet most in chapter four? Is it infantry or cavalry?

I don’t care about other marshal mostly, okay i care little bit about Marmont, saint cyr and ney but other than that i honestly not have my eye on them because they get lot’s of spotlight on other media.

In both cases. If you’re a field grade officer (so Chef d’Escadron, Chef de Bataillon, Major, or Colonel), you’re assigned to a unit in Suchet’s division within V Corps.

I was finally able to support you over on that other site yesterday.

Wow, LOVE the story, @Cataphrak . It took most of the day (several hours) to read through it as a cavalry officer.

Try it as a woman next time you play

This cool to read. If I’m not wrong remembering this campaign suchet is under soult command or maybe lannes, really wondering how stark contrast their personality is class during strategy meeting between soult and suchet

Suchet was in V Corps under Lannes for the Wars of the Third and Fourth Coalitions until Lannes gets wounded at the end of 1806, then Massena takes over Corps command, iirc.

You’ll have to wait another act for that. Suchet’s not a Marshal yet - and won’t be until Spain rolls around.

Ah i forget chapter four is war of thirds and fourth coalition not including Spanish war in this chapter

Same i also though he is under soult command. Because he is more associated with soult rather than lannes and i often combine third coalition and fourth coalition as one war. I also forget chapter 5 is Spain not chapter 4

5B is Spain.
5A is Russia.

YMMV on which will be worse.

Wanted to ask, if the game is in different branches of service then what branch has the most advancement in ranks, or is every branch (infantry, cavalry, artillery) pretty much the same in that regard?

On which will be worse to experience for the MC? Spain most definitely - no serious threat of guerillas in Russia and much more of a war of attrition there.
