Kidding ofc, I’m very well. Writing is what makes me happy and I was able to write A TON, so I’m indeed in great spirits. Plus, I have a vacation coming up and am going to take a trip soon, so those are fun healthy activities I’m looking forward to.
And yes, Zima and MC’s relationship is EXTREMELY complicated. Even if they settle on a truce soon, it’s not just going to be “alright”, and that, ladies and gentlemen, is the beauty of it. There can be love and/or friendship between them again, and it can take root not too far into the story, but there’s still gonna be a lot of bitterness and anxiety and plain bad memories mixed in. It feels very cathartic to me tbh

I’ve been meaning to comment on this WIP earlier, but other things got in the way, unfortunately. But better late than never.
Firstly, I want to say that I really like this WIP. I always enjoy music IFs when they are at least partly about the music, like this one, as opposed to just being about the drama and trying to become famous. I also really like how you, like you did in your previous WIP, also pay a lot of attention to characters outside of the MC and the ROs and give them their own stories as well. When it came to those characters, I particularly enjoyed hearing the story about how Stevie’s parents met and also their dynamicThe only thing I’m really missing is a female RO like Reem, who shares her particular combination of kindness, protectiveness and (physical and emotional) strength.
However, there is one scene where it would have been nice to have more options. When the MC gets a chance to hang out with one of your band members when needing a break from where the MC lives live and chooses to hang out with Stevie, you can also choose between different kind of movies or tv shows to watch. These included horror, romance, true crime and a trashy reality show. However, as someone who isn’t really a fan of either of those( though I can watch some horror, but only a select few such movies), it would have been nice to also have some options that would align with what I’d actually watch in real life. Also given that the MCs hang out with out with band member in question in order to forget about the troubles where they live, actually wanting to watch something cheerful and/or hopeful as opposed to something darker, would make a lot of sense. Yes, people cope with these things differently and for some people watching something scary, for instance, could probably be quite cathartic, but there are enough kinds of MCs that I’d imagine would like something that wasn’t dark, without being a romance either, that I think it would be a good idea to also include other kinds of movies and/or series in the options about what to watch. Particularly comedies(whether movies or sitcoms), but also fantasy or sci-fi movies or maybe even a hollywood or an arthouse classic. I hope this is something you will at least take under consideration.
Anyway, best of luck in finishing the next part. I’m looking forward to reading it when it’s made public.

I feel like Stevie shared some of her good qualities but I didn’t want to make two identical tall ladies… And Stevie and Reem are really very different, it’s true… If this were DnD, Stevie would be an elf and Reem half-orc (or maaayyybe Tiefling). I hope that makes sense in any way at all haha 
As for the movies, sure I can add some!! I just didn’t think of these other options you mentioned but I totally will, it’s easy enough to do. Thanks for the kind but honest feedback

A small update on how things are going:
Chapter 2 is currently sitting at 37.7k words (all of which are fully coded, this is excl. code also). The entire middle part of this chapter takes place in the MC’s youth, during their time at a psychiatric clinic. I’m currently halfway done with this “hospital interlude” as I call it. I don’t know when the interlude will be finished, but trust me, it’s important. A lot of the decisions you make in the clinic will affect the outcome of your band’s story. After the interlude is done, there’s also some more content yet taking place in the present before Chapter 2 is done.
I was hoping to get the Chapter out by the end of this month, but it’ll probably take until early next month instead. Still, I’m quite happy with my progress, especially since I’ve been coding along the way.
