More like he’s bad at getting social ques but otherwise good natured and wants to make a good impression to others. His numbness I think is a layer to protect his sensitivity rather than a symptom of apathy. Like Princess Sophia he’s kind of bad at communicating, at least emotionally, but I do think he desires to have such a void be filled.
If Melissa warms up to him… she is kind and sweet and would endear herself to him, he will strive to protect her and be the hero of her dreams, if that works she will start to like him.
The MC could be kind or cunning, what’s to stop Melissa from wanting to go Team Heretic herself?
Considering the MC has the blood of a magic king (Darius)… you should totally exploit that potential and be the second coming of Voohr himself and destroy everything Andus, Marxus and the traitorous Melissa hold dear… assuming Marxus doesn’t step up his own game and become the second coming of his ancestor Darius and slay you to save the world, both of you becoming legends.
