Jinlai | Domineering CEO Simulator (Chapter 3, 172k words)

Hi, at first glance it looks very beautiful, but I have a question, how many of the romantic options are female and how many are male? Thank u and good luck.

3 male, 3 female

thank you, I saw some mistakes. I don’t know if I should include them here or not, but when we signed the contracts, right?, with Mr. Prowler, I think I’m very sorry. if I wrote his name incorrectly. The description referred to him as a woman, but he’s a man, right? Sorry for the length and any errors in grammar, but English is not my main Language.

can do.

Depends on your MC. Are the pronouns messed up somewhere?

There’s indeed a little bug with the first fling person:

${man}, dressed in a business suit. Just like the row of chairs beside you, the seats next to ${fling_him} are also filled with executives, assistants, and lawyers. $!{fling_he}'s holding a pen, flicking it in ${fling_his} fingers as ${fling_he} stares at you.

It should be fling_man instead of man at the beginning.

Oh, and another small one: the game lets you define what cars you own, but afterwards:

Which one are you bringing out today?
    *choice
      #The supercar.
        *set current_car "super"
      #The convertible.
        *set current_car "sports"
      #The SUV.
        *set current_car "suv"
      #The muscle car.
        *set current_car "muscle"
      #The crossover.
        *set current_car "crossover"

it doesn’t gate the options behind whether you actually own given car.

As a kdrama devotee, I loved this so much! Really liked the vibe, the characters, and the MC’s personality, and am very much anticipating your future updates.

I agree with the comments mentioning that a younger MC might fit the narrative better—I didn’t check the stats page until near the end, and I assumed the MC was late 20s to early 30s.

Also Lu Tian tickles my red flag romance-loving button.

Something maybe worth noting: this game uses a lot of small stat value changes: 1-2 points for character opinions and personality attributes. But it uses fairmath to perform these changes instead of basic math with caps. As a result, these changes have 0 actual impact on attributes/stats which have value of 50% or more. Because 1-2% of 49% or less is less than 1, and that gets rounded down to 0. With end effect of values barely moving from initial 50%

So, it’d probably be better to change the align and opinion subroutines to use regular math with cap checks for 0/100, or to increase supplied values by tiny bit. Although the latter will simply delay the values eventually reaching the cap.

I love this perspective! Being 35 is such a unique and often under appreciated stage in life’s you are still young, but you have gathered enough life experience to be taken seriously. There’s a confidence and depth that comes with this age that is not always present in younger characters.

In Wips, we often see mc who are either in their early 20s or much younger. But 35 is a fantastic age to explore in storytellings you are mature yet still adventurous, experienced yet open to new things.
It would be great to see more stories where 35-year-old characters get to shine, especially in romance! At 35, you can even be the older love interest something you do not often see in stories.

The heiress you can get involved with (you can overhear your uncle complaining about her) seems like the most ā€œtypicalā€ RO, down to optional exclusivity and wanting to stay at home to raise the children role.

There is a novel called Pious Son-in-Law to Power where the protagonist is in his twenties and is a prodigy in business.

Su Wenling would be the best fit

Now this goes against your previous request :joy:

Come to think of it yeah, that sanctimonious hate-the-rich attitude does seem familiar. /s

On the other hand, isn’t she the single mother mentioned in the summary? So that’s pretty different dynamic.

Well, definitely, yes. But she is the ā€˜goody two shoes’ RO, someone who’s kind, loving, empathetic, not toxic and all that boring nonsense
