Alright, btw, maybe, just maybe, the negotiation thing with Zheng should be slightly easier in the case that you donât have charm skill or watch movies as a hobby AND also not wanting to sedate him.
Lina does increase the cost because of the scandal, but you should still be able to get it reasonably low (if the aunt is not involved). There are very specific replies the chairman likes that increase his approval by a lot.

I bowed but the other options didnât help me at all, in fact, they lower my approval in one way or another due to lack of charm or not having a movie hobby, the only thing that makes things suck less is my 70% preparation but it doesnât feels that significant to me.
What can I say, its skill issue

Regardless of other choices, 70% prep = +35 approval. 100% would be +50.
You also donât need to have movies as a hobbie, you just need to study them and then lie to the old man.

Btw is there a way to reach 100 preparation?
MC with Intelligence perk gets double effect from âpreparing moreâ, that is +10 per instance. You get 11 time blocks in total, and the 2 major options give you 30 preparation base. So in theory you should be able to get the remaining missing +70 with 9 âmovesâ you have left, even throw in watching couple of movies if you neglect everything else.
Did you assure the aunt you wonât be taking part in the succession war? If you didnât, you take 30 point approval penalty right from the start.

I chose preparing more without studying the moves after the first two options that give 30 preparation and can only reach 70% for some reason even if I choose to work more.
Yeah youâre right, funnily enough, it gets Zhang more sympathetic to me than when I have 70 preparation lol

Also, keep in mind that other things take away from how much time you have. E.g. attending Linaâs party costs you 3 time blocks, which could be instead 30 extra preparation for Intelligent MC.

I did choose charm as my stat so I canât help there, but these are the choices I made during the negotiation that seemed to be good:

Prepare as much as possible obv, researching two of the movies he likes (the smile one and bloody waters) With charm I was only 40% prepared and got 95% approval, though. The aunt didnât bother me at all. Chose the âDepends on what youâre offering me to stay out of itâ option and she took that as me saying I was staying out of it and focusing on what I could gain. Bow. âIt might sound childish to you, but I want to make movies.â Name two of his favorite movies and one of your own. âI will continue operating it in the same way.â(Whether true or not he doesnât need to know lol)

Thereâs a minor bug with this routine:

Because some of the events (Linaâs party, sisterâs call) can take up 2-3 time blocks, the game can potentially fail to properly advance the calendar on some days. E.g. Linaâs party executes after first day passed. It moves the time by 3 blocks and after next MCâs preparation the date is advanced, but only by 1 day i.e. 2 time blocks, when in ârealityâ 4 time blocks were consumed.
As a result, if you attend Linaâs party and help the sister to full extent, when the meeting day arrives the game can be thinking that itâs:
Instead of Thursday, Sep 24th itâs âsupposedâ to be. Not a big deal in the current version, but it may have some impact when the stock market is actually accessible, since the prices etc are tied to the daily update.
edit: one more error, although this one is quite bigger:
*gosub_scene sbr budget "-" dragon_bid
this call fails to take into account that each unit of the bid is actually a million, and so it only substract literal peanuts from the company budget.
edit 2: and a small one, the options to âTalk with the potential competitorsâ are missing disable_reuse, meaning you can repeat the visits (and potentially repeatedly damage your chances) with the game acting each time as if youâre doing it for the first time.
edit 3: couple more small glitches.

And Zheng Rong is so bad in the sack, that having sex with them doesnât even increase MCâs body_count variable, smh.
edit 4: also also, a rather major bug â if you use the drug route to acquire the company, the game still acts as if the old Zheng is in charge, and does the whole âadvance days/recalculate oddsâ routine, ending up with the coin toss whether he sells it to MC or the competition:

Make sure you study the granddaughter when the option for Red Dragon Cinemaâs leadership pops up. You should have the option to meet her after the meeting. If youâre a playboy, be direct and say you wanna fuck her.
You will smash Zhangâs granddaughter, steal his lifelong company, and curse him to rot in an elderly home for the rest of his life.

You donât have to, thatâs just a flavor option. Simply entertaining their delusions works just as well. In fact, the direct approach requires charm perk to mitigate the damage, otherwise it backfires.

None of it depends on MCâs background. It makes no difference if your MC is a playboy or not, the check is mandatory part of that option. âPlayboyâ and âcharmâ are separate factors in the game. You mightâve picked Charm for your Playboy character but them being a Playboy had nothing to do with passing the check in that case.

The save system rely on stats if the stats from each update donât change. Everything will be save up.
If the author in this case in jinlai like to change those stat. You have to start from the beginning of the story.
Usually the story change so much that a fresh start is good.
(either the save system is good).
