Finally checked this out and even though itâs only one chapter right now, It was really very fun! I was pretty giddy at some of the interactions, though I find I have to play an intentionally cartoony villain, otherwise the weight of capitalism bears down on me and I start hating the MC, too lolol Laughing at the prospect of selling peopleâs data and even your employee being like âoh my god we canât do thisâ made me straight up giggle T0T
Iâm very excited to see the MC have some âaura momentsâ I believe the kids call it these days u _ u) Iâll definitelly keep an eye on this, good luck!!

Since Iâve crossed 100k words, decided to open up Patreon for Jinlai as well. Mainly as a promise to myself to finish this (I wouldnât be comfortable taking any amount of money otherwise), as well as an additional source of motivation. However, Jinlai is still my secondary project and wonât be updated as regularly as poma (it may take multiple months between updates). Iâll be posting sneak peaks there, as well as access to Character POVs.

Even leaving aside the production chain and its impact on environment, there are obvious disadvantages when it comes to volume of paper records (compared to having the same data stored digitally) and how large staff you need to process/index/search through data stored this way, with still much worse performance. There are reasons why microfilms and such media were commonly used for decades before the digital became viable replacement.

Few years back i saw a docu on something interesting. What are the most durable support for knowledge.
They was rocks, cassette (film or photo to simplify), laser cd, eletronics, paper (wood and so on) and a suprising one. Glass (laser carve inside glass). Those supports were compare with each other. Guess who won ?

Your money are rock ! But i understand the meaning. Carve rock tend to retain the knowledge we carve on it. Even for million of years.

I am not sure why but something about this appeals to me greatly. Theres a good deal of potential I sense. I hope you find the motivation to see it through and that you enjoy making it. Canât wait to see how Chapter 3 unravels when it comes.

Agreed. Paper can be a good backup to have sure, and I would say its wise to make paper copies of the more important documents. Just in case, but for a majority of things. Digital is just plain better. Its not subject to handwriting, it doesnt deteriorate with time, it requires far less space to store large volumes of data. One server room can hold more documents than an entire building and thats probably undercutting just how efficient it is. Like paper seems nice until you go to a government building that is entirely serviced in paper forms and see shelves upon shelves of papers dating years and have to wait for the poor worker to sort through the shelves to find your relevant paper. Presuming its not damaged or missing.
People really forget just how much of a godsend being able to ctrl + f search something is when youâre dealing with thousands of entries.

Incidentally, the patch notes donât mention it but the gameâs early content has also received some small revisions, for things like MC setup and such. So even in unlikely case you have an old save that still somehow works, itâs probably best to restart.

Old saves def wonât work, I changed a bunch of things in ch1 code wise. Iâll try not to do this in the future, but thatâs not a guarantee;(

Looks like a minor bug in the new chapter: after the nightmare the option to #Play a game. is unlocked for all MCs, even ones who arenât gamers and donât have a game room, yet the game acts as if itâs completely normal and long-established they have one. Just comes across a bit weird in scenario where the MC was established as someone who doesnât know first thing about gaming (and potentially told their workers not to bother them with such nonsense)
Also, the option to tell Lina she wonât be able to keep up with MC during the workout seems hard-coded for male MC. Given how Lina talks about old men and call you grandpa in response, even if MC is a woman.
