Personally, I don’t really see Seven (or the band) taking advantage of the MC. That’s just not the kind of relationship they seem to have. Their parents though? Totally.
I think a lot depends on personal interpretation. Personally, I believe the band (and perhaps Seven) unconsciously uses this trait in MC. They might not even realize yet that MC (at least mine, since I can’t speak for everyone) would do anything for them
However, parents absolutely take advantage of this to avoid feeling guilty because "our child said everything is fine”
Does anybody else picture O and Rosy from Mind Blind as the same person in their head? Both relationships give “this is taboo stop wanting me” and it crosses the wires in my brain asdfgjkio
I didn’t. Thinking. Not so certain. O is a mommy, Rosy is a dommy. Thats what I see.
Maybe since I play them both as male it’s easier to see the similarities. I think Kim is a lot shorter when she’s a girl, but O remains the same height either way so their physical differences are more notable when they’re both women. If I’m remembering correctly lol
And my love for both of them is endless!! My annoying (and annoyed) husbands ![]()
Both are girls. Play wlw only myself. Orianna and Rosy are bit different.
Yeah, I wasn’t saying they’re carbon copies of each other but they both play the same “role” if that makes sense.
and are both muscular with black hair and glasses, v cute ROs
I love this game, but I am choosing to ignore the canonical ages of the characters. August and Seven (and presumably the MC) are 26-27? They act much younger. Victoria is our age? Griffin is only a bit older than us? And they’re established industry legends? That makes no sense.
The canon ages are like, my only complaints about the story
! They just don’t make much sense to me
Since when are people in the music industry the paragons of mental growth and stability?
Not acting like actual adults and instead living forever as egocentric, spoiled, tantrum throwing (wo)manchildren is par for the course in that field. I can perfectly accept these nominal ages, and have no expectations regarding them.
Haha, once again I have to express my astonishment and commend people’s good fortune (I suppose?) at never meeting people in their late 20s who act like these characters. I’ve known more than a few in my time.
Also yes, I totally agree on the arrested development stuff. I think it’s believable for this cast of characters for a wide variety of reasons.
I dunno some people in real life may not act like their ages although it might not be to that much of an extreme. It actually does happen and have met people like this and even live around them so for characters like for example G who is a complete riot for someone in their late 20’s coupled with the whole music scene and for how long they’ve been in then you’re not going to be dealing with the beacon of maturity.
That’s interesting. Maybe it’s because of their laid-back personality, but I’ve never perceived August as acting younger than their intended age. Can you expand on why you view them as acting much younger than their age?
Honestly, I love the fact that they’re all well into adulthood and still some of the most puerile, emotionally taxing people anyone could ever have the misfortune of meeting. Justice for maladjusted hags! ![]()

Random thought, but didn’t G pursue stardom at 16 or something? I remember the story or extras hinted that G quit school at that time, and along the way they did a whole bunch of vices with no structured support until they’re almost 30. I would be genuinely surprised if G was acting like a decent person after more than a decade of ye olde shitty entertainment industry treatment.
As for the rest of the cast, I kinda expected alot of immature behaviour. They’re all aiming for the big sold-out stadium type of success. They all want their big break. So I expect alot of people to gradually throw away their pride and dignity if it means getting closer to winning, hell, I expect sabotaging, bullying and dragging others down. It’ll be like the typical high school drama, or Big Brother. Whichever is more accurate.
Yeah, and I think it makes sense that they’re all a little older while G is a little younger. They’ve been working toward their goals for a long time and probably feel this is their last shot at truly making it, while G, a relative peer, dangles in front of them as a big, fat warning sign that they should be careful what they wish for. You just wouldn’t get that with, like, wide-eyed, 18 to 21-year-old ingenues and a 35-year-old G.
Ha, yeah, I know! I was saying this in the context of the canon ages not making sense to people because MC is late 20s as opposed to early 20s and G is basically Hollywood royalty at a relatively young age.
Huh?!
G is older 28, and we are 27.
Ok. Yeah. We should technically be younger 20s, not older 20s. We’re basically screwed.
I recommend listening to the song 4 UR ENTERTAINMENT by Chandler Leighton, or at least looking up the lyrics. The industry kinda promotes that behavior. The messier a person is, the more they get covered. I’ll be honest, if Taylor Swift comes out with a new album, I don’t ever hear about it as someone who she’s not actively trying to reach. But as someone who goes on youtube and the internet in general, if she has some drama going on, literally everywhere is covering it and it’s impossible not to see.
So, not just the industry, but if you wanna be talked about by lots of people at once, you act out or start shit with someone. The drama is what gets aired, and even if they try to only do that in their professional life, it’s impossible to not let it slip into your personal life.
MC being early 20s wouldn’t change a single thing about the story, I think, so I don’t see why they should be. The discussion was about the characters seeming like they should be younger/older to people, but I like MC and co. being late 20s, personally.
