If the author or any of us is to help need to know where it happens cause for all we know yiur hitting whatever the end is lol. If i get a chance though i will try playing through it sometime today to see if i encounter anything weird.

After holding out for a big update since the summer, I finally caved and subjected myself to the tortuous ecstasy of Infamous once more. Now I’m obsessed again and can’t get through a moment of the day without grimaced musing and catching sighs. I despise my weakness, for the angst would’ve surely been more bearable all at once rather than served in two doses, with the looming release of Chapter 4 bound to tear open any partially scabbed wounds.
I had forgotten about the rewrite, so it was a pleasant spark of joy before the whirlwind of emotions and happenings that is Chapter 3 - and the way it ended with Seven haunted me for all of 5 minutes before I succumbed to the price of slavering over a screen in the dark up till 5AM.
CLUTCHES CHEST AND SCREAMS INTERNALLY
MC has it right. Too many things happened too quickly all of a sudden. I signed up to plant a bed of flowers and now there’s a prickly mass of undergrowth that’s erupted as I approach.
Where does one even begin with deconstructing the thorny tangles of this misshapen rose bush? It’s going to be messy no matter how you angle. There are going to be false starts where the knots intersect too densely to unravel. Inexplicably, there is even a litter of void kittens peering at you from the deep recesses; capricious devils of some time warm butter, some time boiling oil. Scratches are all but promised.
It feels like we’ve spent so much time discussing how to get there, that we never steeled ourselves for the destination. Maybe it’s just me. Seven’s mellowing and admission of attachment to MC came faster than I had expected. Now everything is muddied, and I don’t know what to do with myself, and I tell myself things can’t possibly be so simple, and I know that it’s foolish to celebrate when we’ve barely crested the first major climb of a rollercoaster named ANGUISH.
BUT IT WILL BE OKAY.
Actually, ranting here has ameliorated the pressure constricting my lungs in a small way. I love this IF so much OMG

Dakota wrapped his arm around your waist, letting his mop of deep brown hair cascade over your shoulder as his eyes twinkled up at Griffin. “Let’s just say…” he tightened his hold around you, pulling your body flush to his. You felt your stomach drop, lungs caught in the tight restriction of your throat. “that I had first hand, private experience with their… talents. They’re good.” His grin reached his eyes, and you silently cursed as you gaped up at Griffin. There was no way this was happening to you.
The consequences of your sneaky, ill thought out actions.
Griffin frowned, crossing his arms and kicking his boots into the concrete ground. He looked at you, eyes desperately searching yours before dragging them to Dakota, then back to you. “You…” your gut clenched at how hurt his voice sounded starting out, but he cleared his throat and continued, “you… sang for him, didn’t you?Privately?” Griffin looked absolutely wrecked at the thought, sighing as he ran a hand through his inky-black strands.
Dakota stiffened next to you, mouth smoothing out into a firm, thin, unimpressed line. Once again, you found yourself gaping up at Griffin’s dejected face, eyes mapping out the look of utter betrayal.
Ain’t no way.
| What an idiot.
| Griffin… honey, no.
| What. An. Idiot.
| “Uh… yeah.”
• Phew, a way out. What an idiot.

Like the way you can hint at your history with Dakota under Gs nose (especially if you’re heavily romancing G) is so wrong but hilarious 
I’m really wondering how this storyline will play out.
Also, on another note, I’ve read people thinking the pacing is too slow because all the characters are adults and are apparently acting like blushing virgins but y’all— it’s like only been a week really in game and I feel like every RO has their reasons not to rush.
BUT I will say there are some scenes where if you have a bold MC I feel like they should be able to take action. Like there is no way in the Hotel scene with G that my character wouldn’t meet G half way and out right kiss him, not a care in the world if it’s too early or what, consequences be damned. I think there should be more scenes like this where the MC can take actions into their own hands

Virgin people exist in their early twenties. Few can pass even longer. Blushing by that point, idk. Honestly, dont care about blushing or non blushing virgin/non virgin. Its however the player wants to go. I think there is non blushing virgin path, Dakota, Blake. Seven shouldn’t be available to soon. Complications there in. G doesn’t have time to diddle daddle and fiddle around due to cast waiting anyway.
All that said. I wish Oriana would fiddlie faddlie diddlie daddlie me around the bed already.

Between the band’s fussing and O’s heart to heart, the snippet tries so hard to frame the media uproar and BotB scheming as an intolerable burden on the spirit. Alas, it has terribly underestimated the depths of my simpery. Seven’s admission summoned forth an impervious barrier from the essence of the being, casting off any trifling distractions from the one and only truth that matters. New sound for the next EP? Check. Bombshell fake news about the band on the zines? Whatever. Now is the era of socially inappropriate expressions of optimism and suspiciously cordial pleasantries with the show staff!
And so it is thus that I am surely led like a grinning fool into another lurking field of caltrops

The thing with Blake was kind of adorable. I can’t wait until they hatefuck, then realize there’s not so much hate there.
I also love O in the update. And the fact that the MC can make a comment about walking into the ocean. I’m hoping for more of those–being able to make fatalistic comments to everyone around you. I also loved MC being able to drink first thing in the morning, then lie with a straight face to the band when they question if you’ve been drinking. Definitely addict behavior. I may have to play a MC who drinks secretly, but not in front of anyone.

Yes please, that was so good! Like my main MC isn’t fatalistic by any means, that’s my “sex, drugs and rock and roll” girlie, but it was so good to see you can choose to go “yeah it’s starting to crawl up on me aha” and O doesn’t play it off, they show genuine concern and care. Hhhh I love them.
And this too. It makes you feel like choices aren’t just a nothingburger, you can decide to go down the rabbit hole if you want. Like I was unsure whether I wanted to make a more unhinged MC so to speak, but after this I really want to see how hard you can push the limits.

I decided pretty early on that my MCs were going to have to be somewhat unhinged, even if they manage to hide it well. A lot of abuse and misery has been heaped on them in a very short time (not withstanding the trauma from losing Seven as a bff/lover thanks to the band’s bullshit, if your MC sees it that way), so even the most balanced person would be affected by it all.
I didn’t really care for the “drugs and booze” thing, because if you play someone serious about their career (and with half a brain), they should know running around drunk/stoned out of your gourde all the time does not a successful career create. I thought I was going to be forced to head canon the self-destruction and imagine it takes place off-screen, but the comment about walking into the ocean is a good sign we’ll be able to have that level of self-destruction without having to resort to booze or drugs.
I want to push the limits to the max with this game, and at least one of my MCs is already ready take a long walk off a short pier because she’s so shut down she just literally feels nothing now. Every time life or the show or her LI kicks her in the face, I want those comments to be available, and have them get more fantastical every time. Better yet, let our MCs try to make good on them (unintentionally or not). Everyone’s rock bottom is different, so let them hit it and either crawl back up from the depths of hell (hopefully with someone actually supporting them and on their side) or sit at the bottom and drown.
I need to try an overemotional MC, too. All three of mine are varying degrees of “cold, dead eyes”, though one of them fakes being a living human being than the other two. So it might be fun to play a MC who loses their shit every five minutes over everything.

I just wish there was a way to use overwork as our “addiction” as it could bring in shades of our upbringing/parents. So far it’s all been booze, drugs, partying or sex as the potential routes to ruin. You don’t have to be suicidal or typically self harming to work yourself to collapse. And I know that O’s story hints at workaholism, but not in a way that you could apply it to PC.

Drugs would work for my mc, just not the kinds of drugs that are featured right now, not the party kind as my mc does not do that shit, he doesn’t even drink alcohol most of the time. My mc copes with having very little control over his life by controlling the one thing he can, his body, so if he were to start using drugs it would be things like extra testosterone, growth hormone, steroids and things like ozempic and wegovy. Really any drugs that would help with his body and put him ever closer to the level of the Rock.
