It’s a few words. And it doesn’t make up for the band dragging MC with or without their concent to a party. Like shit, can’t you just ask? Why barge into a room, start digging through MC’s shit and ignore him when he is obviously upset with this behaviour?
They’re both neglectful but I’d take the Mom over the fake ass Dad anyday. Dad talks all that crap, but wouldn’t bother showing up to anything, least the Mom did. Not to mention that sly shit he says all the time, yeah give me the blunt and honest type over the fake smile crap.
I completely get what you mean, but it appears that Seven wasn’t the only one with whom the MC had no boundaries. It’s the whole band. They don’t have healthy boundaries, which is why they barge in without permission and rifle through the MC’s clothes. I’m sure it works the same way in reverse. It wouldn’t surprise me if, most of the time in the past, the MC didn’t mind this behavior. I believe the MC and the band need to work on healthy boundaries in order to grow in a better direction with one another.
Seven is the boyfriend in my MC’s case, so his behavior was not suprising in the slightest. Band, though? I already don’t really buy us being such besties with how often MC is brushed off and his issues swept under the rug, but this scene solidified my dislike for them, cemented it.
I’m a severe introvert who needs boundaries and dislikes parties - while my MCs aren’t like that, they’re still very private people and seeing a gaggle of people barging in and dragging them along to a part-ay feels like the worst nightmare imaginable. Their responses to “the fuck are you doing” really helped to solidify the fact that no, I don’t like these fairweathers and until they’ll get better, we’re in a purely “win BOTB or bust” mindset.
You know I thought the mom was bad, but the dad is so much worse.
I don’t like her showing up at xyz if she doesn’t actually care, neglect is neglect, but I’d rather take a blunt Idgaf rather than whatever the dad has going on. Dude is weird as shit, I was low-key uncomfortable
I just cba with how hypocritical seven can be lmao. like my mc will still love u but I’m not going all in when you’re acting like that. grow up and my mc will spend time with griffin and learn about herself too and have fun.
Yeah the parent scenes always hit too close to home for me so I just rush through them
Yeah there is something off about them. One cuts MC like a knife, the other is nice… Fake. Nice.? You can tell that none of them give a damn about MC. Our reputation, sweetie. What would our coworkers say? Are you still pretending that this Thing you do has a future? No I am not going to listen to your song or act like I’m happy for you. Call lucy. Love you sweet summer child. Bye.
Yeah, I assumed we’d have a decent father in terms of him being supportive, but he’s crazier than the mother. I’m thinking, in my head, “Well, damn, with a mouth like that, I don’t understand why the mother is worried about her husband being overly friendly; he’s clearly putting on an act.”
I’m not sure why they had a child at all. We all speculated that the mother was pressured into having a child, but at this point, I wouldn’t be shocked if they felt having a child would make them look better in the eyes of strangers. I would personally block them. They wouldn’t call my phone only to disrespect me and my endeavors.
I’m hoping for a family challenge in which the producers invite our families and we have to write and sing a song about them, LMAO.
Honestly, in comparison to the flashback Patreon scenes, they’re actually more attentive, I would say, to each other’s needs in the past. I suppose it makes sense that Seven’s departure affects the band’s friendship and relationship dynamics.
Yep, that was how both of my MCs felt, too. Though, for one of them, she’d just prefer to avoid them both.
Because they don’t give a damn how the MC feels, that’s why. I mean, the update made me feel like the band is friends more than it did before, but it’s not in a positive way. MC with the band (with almost everyone, really), feels like this person who is just run over by everyone (and because the band has known them the longest, they do it like they’re entitled to). Whether they’re nice about it or not, it happens. The band, in particular, just expects the MC to do whatever they hell they want all the time and, if they refuse, they either get pissed off about it a’la Rowan, or they just ignore the MC and push them around, anyway.
Iris, in particular, is beginning to grate on me after reading the code and catching some stuff I didn’t notice before. Devyn seems to be the one who is nicest. Rowan just worries about Rowan. And August feels closer to the MC than any of them, at this point.
I didn’t know that about the blatant Orionmancers! Orion was awesome in this. My Orionmancer (I think she will be) had no crush and is just cluelessly wondering why she is having physical reactions to Orion touching her now. It’s actually kind of funny.
Yay! I had hoped you noticed that he really does mean to help. And even if he made things worse with the duet, it was so worth it, especially with his reaction to the duet.
True, but if he had done nothing, I’m still convinced the band wouldn’t be in the competition at all and MC would have to get three fast-food restaurant jobs to stay off the streets.
No, the star symbol is explained at the beginning of the demo:
— flirt option — establishes a previous relationship
☆ — an extra character or career detail
✘ — breakup — flirt option that is geared towards the poly route.
I’m curious to see how what Amy talked about will be implemented. I guess you’ll need to reach a certain number of points with your chosen ro to be on their route and then once you reach that point you won’t have flirt options with the others. I kind of like this system.
