I finished the demo a few weeks ago and I really enjoyed it! I love the mastermind vibe going on here, really fulfills all the ‘super cool and unruffled badass revenge’ power fantasies I had when I was in high school hah.
(I am a little confused, on the first page the demo asks you to send some stats through at the end of chapter 4 but I went all the way through and didn’t see any? Is this just something that’s not needed anymore? I can post them if needed because I have them screenshotted, I’m just not sure if its a hold over from something else or not.
)
Having played through a couple of saves, I did notice a few things that bugged me a little? I’m not sure if it’s my game wigging out or not though; namely if you meet Haley in the art club first (Might have been Chapter 2? When you first get the option to pick an after school activity to do) she’s rather grouchy and hostile to you when you meet her on the roof after art class. This is fine (in fact I think it’s a nice contrast to how she shows herself to others) however she does message you the next day after the party at Michael’s house and she’s all sunshine, rainbows and emojis. My MC doesn’t make a comment at all about how the last time you spoke she was a bit of a cow and now is giving my MC emotional whiplash lol. I could write it off as my MC playing along by brushing it off, but it’d be nice to have a comment acknowledging it at least.
In a similar vein, if you pick to go to prom with Isaac, he makes a comment about ‘testing’ you essentially, to make sure you’re not hitting on his sister, and if you are, that you’ll be good for her (or something to that extent, I don’t remember the exact wording sorry!) My MC was an openly gay male in this playthrough, so it would have been nice to have at least a comment where I could say ‘I am not, nor will I ever be, romantically interested in your sister. Being friends though…’ idk, it’d be nice to see an option where you could still address Isaac’s comments without feeling like I’m closeting my MC 
I also felt Isaac’s subtle revenge plan was a little lackluster in comparison to the plans you had for everyone else. I suppose it’s hard because Isaac has such a devil-may-care kind of attitude, and I do think I may have missed an event or two with him since I got on the band practice sort of route and didn’t really decide to pursue Isaac until prom, but it feels like you can really throw off and/or spook all the others and no matter what you do to Isaac he just brushes it off. I know he does seem determined at the end of Chapter 4 to find out who’s the cause of all the hullaballo, and this could be seen as Isaac being thrown off or challenged, but in the moment it makes Isaac feel a little untouchable, and I struggle to see any way in which you could enact meaningful revenge on him without him blowing it off. Though, that could be resolved as the story goes on I guess, and maybe the more overt revenge path towards Isaac changes something (I haven’t gotten around to doing a full public obvious route yet so maybe I’m wrong) but it was a little frustrating.
Having said all that, I do really like the ‘special powers’ (for lack of a better word 
) you get from your mentors, and I want to do more playthroughs to see the ways in which you can use them all. I think it’s a great concept used in a way that makes sense in the story! I also love how rich MC is lol, you can bet your ass the moment I could buy a fancy purple car I went full throttle into that power fantasy of screeching into the carpark and flicking my hair like I was in a shampoo commercial as I got outta that car
All the characters are really interesting too, I like digging into their pasts, especially Olivia and Dylan. I’m kind of torn on whether I want revenge on Olivia still, she seems to sort of have a crap life, and being bullied by Isaac when I get there feels like she’s already getting a taste of her own medicine. Who knows though, maybe I’ll change my mind. I want to lightly get revenge on Dylan, because I believe he is quite a dick now, but also has crippling self-confidence issues so… I don’t know. I’m excited to see more! I also do not like Isaac but… I am inexplicably drawn to him… like he’s truly an awful person, but I want to crack that head open and see what makes him tick… and idk break his heart or something lol
