Sure they are in the same genre, and aside from a few similarities, I don’t think the story is the same. After all we are only at chapter one we don’t know how the story will go on.

Agreed. SOR was somewhat disappointing to people because of the high expectations held I think. However I think reading it and not expecting anything and reading it purely standalone from any initial bias it’s fairly well done. Plus SOR serves its purpose of being a setup to a larger story.

I think what disappointed me about SOR was how unnuanced and limited Rhivenia was about the way we went about things and dealt with Astryn. The concept of the Rhivenians not trusting our rule is interesting, but it was executed so poorly that it gave the impression that the Rhivenian people were idiots who only liked Richard and were never satisfied with anything.

Like, for example…you never satisfy your people if you don’t kill Astryn. When realistically, The princess of Pagonia is much more valuable alive than dead, there should’ve been a work around to this issue and more Rhivenians should have more common sense about how great of an advantage having the enemy princess captive and prone to being bended/manipulated/tortured (if you’re going for an eviler route) to join your side and betray her own kingdom.

It’s mob mentality. Even worse, it’s not just a mob, it’s a medieval mob. I wound have surprised if peasants, artisans and street merchants actually think about high politics.
Imo, SoR have way bigger problem - it just boring book. Player don’t do anything interesting and almost don’t have agency. And a lot of missed opportunities where MC could prove themselves but instead do nothing.

You should hate aeron if you want throne.
he will try to go after kela and quella too and before going to them he smirks on mc(like see i am going to take them from you and you will just watch).you can that notice in the game. he is attention hungry.everybody was eating silently and he throws sword on ground to get attention.
people who don’t hate him mostly are the people who don’t want throne and not interested in female ro’s.if you don’t want throne and not interested in female ro’s then you don’t have reason to hate him yet
don’t worry about that you can romance others and quella can become good friend.

My character wants the throne but isn’t romancing Kela or Quella (look I know it’s the medieval times to roing your cousin is too…um…gross for me to pursue that route)

Could use both ver. the cartoony and the real and let the reader choose before starting the game. Will also add an option to turn them off completely. But for now, my focus will be on writing.

God…honestly this is a hard one. The first set of images look like I’ve said more Disney and cartoony based, which isn’t a bad thing. The second set of images look more adult-like, like if someone were to tell me they were for an adult animation show it would make sense. Both styles are awesome and have negatives and positives.

I prefer the maturity of the Lady in green in the first option. But overall, I like the second option more.
