I’ll add this video link for people that are interested in it. It’s Van Helsing vs Horror Characters. https://youtu.be/cG_d_zUkosU?si=_kUcX4Xgk_6FQHFZ My reason for adding this? Just felt like it.
Yes. Thank you.
In general. Many things can change.
It forces the attack to always be forward facing based on the direction of the head. It is also only one blast. With the standard blast you are able to have two blasts at once going different directions at the same time. Some Strengths and Flaws might not show up in this story, instead have a place in later stories.
Like you change your powerset based on romance? What about the factory worker route RO?
Less relevance compaired to what?
There are two powers that most people should probably get when they think “Danger Sense” or “Spider Sense”: Danger Sense and Combat Instinct. I have Danger Sense help more outside of combat than in it (but it does have moments in combat) and Combat Instincts helps with avoiding attacks in combat.
The reasoning for this is two things:
- Once in combat the MC is constantly feeling danger and it does little to let them know what to do.
- Some characters know how to fight in combat without sensing danger, but it functions the same, so I have them be separate aspects fo the same concept.
Also keep in mind that neither power is garenteed to save the MC from everything.
What about a character that can’t choose between the two?
If you also included Book 1, then I’ll be a little surprised since when we last broached this topic, you were pretty adamant on weapons not making a comeback in Book 1 cause it would involve a lot of work. If you do, and that’s a BIG IF, decide on re-adding weapons, will that also include the artifacts/items option as an alternate source of where our power comes from? Cause I know I mentioned something related to this kind of thing regarding if someone wanted to make a tech hero/vigilante but didn’t want to pick Power Armor but they do want to wear regular armors.
I’ll be honest. I forgot about the factory route RO lol. I don’t change my powerset that much but I do try to match it somewhat to my RO sometimes. The most I’ll do usually is either share some similarity of powers in the same category as them or sometimes it’ll be based on the whole “opposite attracts” kind of thing or a match you wouldn’t normally expect. Like the Batman/Wonder Woman dynamic in the Justice League Unlimited series. Since in most of the other stories, Wonder Woman usually either goes for the pilot or Superman or someone similar to him. Which I can’t really blame her much on that. She’s an Amazon and most Amazons usually look for a strong person in a romantic partner.
Is that even possible to do? I mean as a actual dialogue or event to get involved in?
Not yet, no. However it is something I plan on including. The hero trope of having a love interest in their hero identity that is different from their civilian identity. Makes me think of Peter Parker being torn between MJ or Black Cat.
Poor Choi.
Yes it would.
(Warning, kinda long)
Summary
Well, that will be a big task to undertake, though the weapon part might be a little easier since we don’t have all the elements in the form they were in the old demo, so you won’t have to worry much on making scenes where we clad our weapon in lightning for example.
I’m somewhat curious that if artifacts/items/super tech do make a comeback, what kind of options are you planning on bringing back and adding? I remember one of the things that bothered me was the Black Box option for Super Tech since the game didn’t make it clear on whether it was the type that is a computer chip you have installed somewhere that you keep on your person or a literal black box that you can’t carry everywhere. Regarding that, I think you should combine the artifacts/items/super tech with the accessory option so for example. If you pick accessory and pick a ring or necklace, an option will come up asking you whether it’s a Mental, Magical or Tech power source. Not sure about the whole making a weapon as a power source, though it would add more customization but would require even more work for situations that involves your MC either dropping it or getting it knocked out of your hands.
It would also be nice if for accessory if we could pick more than one. Like maybe up to 2 or 3 at least. Like if someone wanted to take glasses for X-Ray Visions, a Ring for Mind Reading and Earring(s) for Telekinesis for examples.
And for the Super Tech option. If I was going suggest some options for it. The First option would be making the Black Box have an option for if you have it installed in either the Power Armor or an Accessory that you carry around (like a watch or bracer). The second option is a implanted chip either like the type that Doc Ock uses on the back of his neck or the types in Cyberpunk 2077 like the Cybernetics. Third option is a prototype armor piece like a gauntlet, boot(s), helmet or whatever; as long as it’s only one piece of it (including it’s own designs like the artificial option if you decide to add it in). Fourth and last option is a handheld device (like a phone).
These are all just what ifs in the end anyways but hope it helps somewhat with ideas.
Love it, slightly irritating that moody link don’t have save system and
seems to be even tho I try to keep stats balanced enough to maximize all of em but lugh and aegis stats r better than mine so curious to know if there r events or ways to increase stats more or that’s it.
But all in all one of the best superhero franchise I read so far
They do have a save system, but you need to be logged in for it to work.
Well Aegis is meant to be unreachable for this game. this is because of her personal story. It is meant to be a story of a person struggling with duty versus desire to be a hero. I felt this story works best with the most powerful hero.
The physical starts are set for this story, but later stories will let you lift your stats higher. The goal is that the MC of this story can become more powerful than Aegis by the end of the series.
That you very much for this praise! And thank you for being the 400th person to like the first post of this thread!
Not sure if I’m just dumb but I’ve been looking for a list of ROs for each gender and sexuality. Not sure if you’ve already discussed that. I’d love to know!
Ah that sucks. I hate having characters not reachable power wise. I love building up my stats to eventually pass everybody but since aegis is unreachable there’s no point.
I used to have it on the first post until I postponed development on the ROs. I was also trying to get an idea of how many, if I should reduce my count, and if any of them should change. The current plans to be implemented but are not implemented yet are as follow:
Females
Aegis - Straight
Breaker - Gay
Camouflage - Pan
Kyra - Pan
Males
Lugh - Straight
Huginn - Gay
Jacox - Pan
Gender adjusting characters
Genesis - PC sexual
All work ROs (other than Kyra) are PC sexual.
All of this informaiton is subject to change.
For the duration of this story, my apologies, some heroes are planned that way. Over the course of the series this will be possible. If I did not have future installments I would have it possible in this story.
There is no point to what, exactly? Trying to improve?
Was that supposed to say “Straight” or am I missing something?
Trying to max my stats in order to become stronger than xhero. If aegis is the strongest, naturally I wanna build my dude up to pass her eventually. If she is unpassable there is no point in trying to max out to beat her. Can we be stronger then the other heroes?
Yes. Corrected.
I almost made a joke about him being attracted based on the strength stat, but yes. He is Straight.
I never intended for anyone other than Aegis to be out of reach for this one game. But I’m not sure if your total stats will match Lugh’s total as the demo is currently built. His total stats are high, but that might just be how things fell into place. His stats are far more subjective to change before I finish development. In fact he is the only hero whose stats can actually change throughout the story due to his personal quest.
Any other hero is easily surpassable in raw stats, but keep in mind there are some stats that Lugh and Aegis do not have at all. Aegis doesn’t have a forcefield, blast, or telekinesis. Lugh doesn’t have a forcefield, telekinesis, or flight. So while those two have higher than most in the core stats, there are plenty of things the MC can be better at than them.
I could totally believe that
So dude is basically strength sexual? Lol
Question, does the company the CEO MC is CEO of exist in the factory worker route? (I mean, does it exist in-world, not if it appears in story.)
It largely is up to your head cannon. I’d say that there is a CEO, but who it is would be different. The COO is still Val either way.
If want his attention, become a body builder, muscles on top of the muscles laying on previous other layers. He’ll swoon and melt into pudding.
Now ill never unsee him being that way.
What i find weird.
Ya wants ghosts but not supes.
Are there any villain romances? that would be nice, I did like Santa Muerte’s character
