So where do I download the downloadable version of CSIDE again?

I had the downloadable version on my computer for so many years but I had a hard drive issue, and I’m so I’m starting over and I’m struggling to find where to download the newest version.

@CJW can you be of any help? I’d really appreciate it.

Hi Eric,

You can download CSIDE here: Release ChoiceScript IDE - Public Release · ChoicescriptIDE/main · GitHub

It’s an old version, but the app should prompt you to update automatically. If it doesn’t, or you get some kind of error, let me know.

Whenever I open CSIDE, I get a notification “Connection Error” like the picture below. My internet is working perfectly fine so I don’t understand why this happens. Can someone help?

I’m not sure I recall seeing this exact error before. What can you tell me about the device you’re using? Laptop/desktop, age, operating system (windows, Mac) and is it a personal device or a work/library one etc?

I saw the same error yesterday every time I opened CSIDE. I’m on a personal Windows 10 desktop that’s almost 4 years old. My text files are on my OneDrive.

I’m getting the same error - every time I open CSIDE, or when I click to change the update channel in the settings.

Bog standard windows 11 machine, no work stuff on it, no VPN or anything.

@Blunderbutts @Jonathan_Bagelman am I to understand this is an error you’ve only both started seeing recently? Or has it always been a problem since you installed CSIDE?

Yes, that day was the first time I ever saw that error. It happened again yesterday every time. Before that I had never seen it, and I’ve been using CSIDE for months.

That’s right - I only recently noticed it. Doesn’t seen to interfere with anything else, so personally it’s not a critical issue or anything, just an oddity.

I can reproduce this, so it looks like it’s a widespread issue that’ll need my direct intervention. Thanks for the report, I’ll try to look into it this weekend.
