This is such a fun game! I loved uncovering the secrets of my character’s past and the world of dreams - and it’s always fun having to balance high school life and saving the world. It was a pleasure to work with @Brian_Rushton on the beta - and I don’t know how involved Holly McMasters still is with this project, but I wish I could tell her I love the world and characters she has created.
If you’re looking for something relaxing to play, I highly recommend giving this a try.
I didn’t watch madoka magica until after we finished writing but a lot of the game meshes really well with it. It’s a lot like the happier/alternate dream world in Rebellion. (Although there is one darker ending path that is essentially like becoming a witch). If I had to make a playlist for the game, the madoka songs would feature heavily.
Edit: also, I realized today that Power Rangers I basically a magical girl show. You could very easily role play as a power ranger in this game (minus the mech. Maybe mech update one day? J/k)
I am familiar with Madoka and truly the magical girl setting can be fun, just for the high school segments(daily life goodness) the calm before the storm, saving the world and the next return to school, there is always something really cool and realistic with that as no matter what you cannot flee your responsibilities or age. Looking forward to explore it!
A really large part of the game is the club that you run and the school festival (there’s around 60 combinations in 4 major categories for how your club and festival booth can turn out), so I’m glad you enjoy having the contrast between the two worlds!
