So how is the save feature coming?

Everything CS related is going slow right now, due to real life job requirements.

I know how that is, i thought i would have some down time over the weekend. Nope, they have me running so hard I hardly have time to check the boards.

After spending all day I final have a work around that WORKS lol. I could never get the muliable function to work so I wrote a file fore each name then saved as .js then put a link to each one in the index. In each file of .js I put updateDisplay1,updateDisplay2, etc. Then in the scene file I made a label I can call them all up with a gosub call. <script src=""../update1.js"></script>, <script src=""../update2.js"></script>, etc. So far it has worked perfectly. Now to figure out the global and the save then can start testing. Since I will be off line for a week should be able to get a lot done I hope. Talk to you later.

The Castle of Chaos project is dead. It was my first attempt at creating something using CS, and I now realize that many things I had attempted to do are not feasible in CS. I had also looked at converting Tunnels and Trolls solos to CS, with the blessing of the T&T copyright and trademark holders, but T&T solos are likewise not feasible in CS, at least not to the extent I wished to implement them, so I will not at this time be continuing work on them. At this time, I am not working on any CS game. I will be giving serious thought to a project more suitable to CS, now that I better understand the limitations of the language. I have removed the Castle of Chaos game and all CS-related files from the eposic web server, but hope to create a game more suitable to CS in the future.

@eposic A pity, a T&T type solo game would have been a lot of fun. Nevertheless I completely understand. CS has some serious limitations, and it sounded like you were spending a not insignificant amount of time writing javascript extensions that might not have ported well to get around them. I do look forward to seeing what you come up with next however.

May I enquire as to what those limitations are/were? :o

@P_Tigras eposic was kind enough to lend me a lot of code, so I am in the process of creating a solo game. It still may be a few months before I can show any thing as I am building the system from scratch as not to infringe other systems. I also am doing all the art work.

@Lordirish - Is it a Dungeon Crawl kind of thing?
@eposic - I just wondered as my own project is rather - out of the box - I’m hoping I don’t run into any “limitations”, I haven’t so far, particularly not in data manipulation. My greatest concern is still the saving of the data.

@CJW yes it is, it has a lot of features eposic designed with my own flare added. Have a full story outline, it has 8 lvls, 4 towers. Have the layout for how it looks fairly close, but creating the battle system, and 200 monsters, plus all the art is taking time.
