I have posted Tahlia’s full final intermission in this month’s mini update! There were even more errors than usual when I was testing this section but I’m hoping I fixed all of the major ones! You can access this update the same as the previous one, by selecting skip to update 6 and then creating your character. I really enjoyed writing more about Tahlia so I hope you do too!
I also finished the Beck location you can explore that I mentioned last time. I am hard at work on Casen’s final intermission next and it should be done within the next two progress updates. About a quarter finished with it!

It would be helpful to include the hints we receive throughout the game for opening crazy coreys safe on the stats page, so we can refer back to them when trying to figure out the secret code.
This was such a fun experience! I absolutely love the mesh of teenage-hood and adult experiences characters face. The relationships are dynamic and believable i love it. Im also so intrigued to learn more about Dad’s disappearance and the broader plotline. This is one of my favorite ifs now and im eagerly awaiting any new updates. Thank you author
Code Question: For levelling up relationship ranks, do you: rank+1, set relationship 0?
Reason I ask:
So I wanted to see how high I could get Ruth’s relationship stat (highest I saw was 122%), and I noticed the amount I went over didn’t matter, since I went down to 0 after ranking up to lvl 2. I think it would be better if instead of setting relationship to 0 after ranking up you subtracted the minimum requirement for ranking up (not sure if you need 100 to lvl up, or if it’s a choice with a stat requirement). That way any additional points aren’t lost.
As of now you need 95 to rank up. I set it to zero afterwards to prevent readers from increasing ranks at too fast a pace since there are still five games left! I want ranks to be harder to achieve and in turn having every single rank alter how characters interact with you without it being too overwhelming as a writer. Casen’s max is already at 3, not counting rank 0!
But you make a good point! I don’t want to feel like you’re wasting your time going over 100 either. I can set a new requirement as 100, then when ranking up and going to zero, the additional points can be lowered by 50%, so you’d start rank 2 at 11 instead of nothing or 22. Would that be better or still unrewarding?
I think that works great. It totally makes sense that each rank would be harder to increase, and rolling over the extra points on the new scale I think is a great idea.
I’ve been spending most of my free time focusing on two major things. The first is Casen’s final intermission, which I’m just about finished with. As long as the coding errors aren’t too difficult, the plan is to post it here for the next progress update.
The other thing I’ve been doing is completely reconstructing the first Quest. It was too complicated and I was lacking motivation to write it, so I had to erase about a quarter of my progress but I’m planning out the second half rather than writing and coding everything on the spot, which hasn’t worked out for me so far with the other quests. I’m also forcing myself to simplify it a little bit more than I wanted to in regard to code because there were way too many variables to incorporate. It pains me inside but I need to sacrifice some ambitions to make sure this story gets done! Hopefully it helps.
I haven’t been able to write at all the last couple weeks and that will likely continue for a couple more. Been staring at screens all day and that makes it difficult to write during my free time. I’m hoping that doesn’t push Casen’s final intermission back 1 more update but I’ll get there eventually!
As I’m writing this, I actually just considered making a “character showcase” of sorts with some of the main and side characters either when I don’t achieve enough progress for an update or something to post in between them. Just some fun (non spoiler) facts about the characters and maybe my opinions on writing them and their personalities. Sounds like a fun easy thing to write while I take lightyears to finish! i did cheated some stats like energy tho… not sure if it relate ?
btw. can you save the librarian. or she is scripted death?
the more i think about it, the more i feel like one of a the sims npc with this mm guy as a player… they messing around with npc, do unexplainable stuff…
Took me a minute but I found the error! It happens when you keep viewing multiple different relationships, but it’s been updated and fixed so you can view all of them in one intermission if you want to now! (I won’t tell about the cheating )

Hello! A new mini-update has just been posted consisting of Casen’s full final intermission. 33,000 words of (hopefully) the good stuff! It’s replaced Jay’s intermission in the menu, so just skip to update 6 and the option to view it will appear after making your character.
I was going to hold off on posting this until I’ve started Anni or Diego’s intermission but after a rough go with coding, I’ve decided to just get it out there! So there isn’t much progress on anything else at the moment but I hope you enjoy! Any feedback on the story or coding errors is greatly appreciated as always.
