Having played the new update yet but i enjoy the specializations weve had in game so far it adds more to the story in my opinion and the dynamics of the potential regiments we command.
In the end though its up to you and before final verdict guess would half to see how you mean to simplify it. Cause it seems we have 3 main specializations at least thats what are easiest to get. Though looking at stats screen it looks like we have a potential for 6 more? As the regiment gains experiance.
Also a note for consideration when we first get to the pike and the lieutenant from our regiment tells of the state of the other companys 4 of them have no mention.
As Valixon said, It is up to the author. Personally I am happy with either options because on every play through Ive had I have thoroughly enjoyed it.
I like playing as Robert Stone from the state of Georgia, being the southern officer who remained loyal having to lead the 7th Pennsylvanian Regiment against those who had chosen state over country. I have very little issue or complaint to be had when it comes to the Wip and I am ever excited to see it progress!!!
Having played through the update will say i will miss playong through as a picket but can defibtly understand the changes to made to the prologue and chapter one that you have implemented. Defintly adds to things and upticks certain elements to the story and offers a new unique secequnece.
Only thing would note while playing through it so far is to make further notes in the stats screen to more fully represent the current state of the regiment when it comes to the companys and there current officers as compared to when we started.
Still very very much enjoying things and looking forward to seeing what unfolds next. Rather fond of our time with morris so glad he is still around lol
Prologue has some checks like this spread throughout this.
Also you might want to reduce the increments to the standing stat as my officer is already mentioned in reports to the white House which(80 or above) I think is a little too much for this early on.
Huge - thank you for finding those, and yeah I need to adjust a few of the stat checks and increments throughout to keep things at a reasonable level, so feedback like that is awesome. I’ll make some adjustments to standing in the next update I push out (and fix these older checks)
@RedizE speaking of colonel preston i noticed when Harrington speaks of his deaths and i noticed a error of sorts. He is referenced as the regiments founder but when playing as a veteren regiment he is something like the 4th colonel because we are told when speaking to the men leading into Gettysburg when were shapping our regiments start. The men are told how we lost three colonels during the course of the war so might want to account for that. Since it doesnt mesh well in such a case.
Also, could you implement a brief description/background of the main key characters throughout the story in future updates? Other than that, this story had me hooked right from the beginning, and truly is one of the most immersing stories I have read. Keep up the great work!
Will there be a point in the story we’re the MC can interact with any of the confederate generals; if so can there be an options were the MC or one do the generals recognizes each other from the Mexican war or West Point since there were generals on both sides who were friends during their time in West Point and the Mexican war
