I retired early from teaching - I was a Module Leader for the University of Gloucestershire in distance-learning, and also a History and Technology tutor for the Open University, having moved west near the Lizard (and elderly parents). I have had a book published, and also some articles and chapters in edited books (but those all nonfiction). Many years ago I edited a paper fanzine (called Miser’s Hoard) for SF and Fantasy games which arose from campaigns GMd by myself and others at York. I enjoyed making world systems and scenarios. At school I replied to a careers adviser that I wanted to be a game designer (but I never did that). I like text-based games (and made one in MH fanzine) whereas fast 3D games makes me dizzy and disoriented. Though I do love maps. I have been working part-time (for an IT Helpdesk) in recent years.
