Having retired early from teaching - I was a Module Leader for the University of Gloucestershire in distance-learning, and also a History and Technology tutor for the Open University - we moved west near the Lizard (and elderly parents) in Cornwall where I work part-time for an IT Helpdesk.
I had a book published, and also some articles and chapters in edited books (but those were all nonfiction). Many years ago I edited a paper fanzine for SF and Fantasy games which arose from campaigns GMed by myself and others at York. I enjoyed making world systems and scenarios. Last year losing my father made me reflect on revisiting those interested. At school when a careers adviser asked what I wanted to be I said a game designer (but I never did that). I like choice-based games (and built one in MH fanzine) while fast 3D games make me dizzy and disoriented. But I also love maps.
