Some quick thoughts on the CoG and Hosted games I've played:
Choice of Robots - Very impressive diversity in routes. Favorite ChoiceScript project by far.
Choice of the Deathless - Great setting, and the plot's not half bad either.
Champion of the Gods - Not bad, but nothing particularly memorable.
Choice of Kung Fu - Playing through Fantasy!China is fun.
The Daring Mermaid Expedition - I was planning on making my first project about a mermaid civilization. When I first saw this game in the store I was devastated. A very fun and quirky read on its own merits.
Diabolical - Not quite at Dungeon Keeper levels of evil fun. Lacking something I can't put my finger on.
Heroes Rise: The Prodigy - My first CoG experience. A fun and unique superhero origin story experience.
Heroes Rise: The Hero Project - Playing through a reality show is a neat idea. I love GG.
Heroes Rise: HeroFall - The big climactic conclusion to events building up through the previous games. A fine example of how trilogies should work.
Mecha Ace - Underwhelming. The story and characters just didn't pack any oomph for me.
Sabres of Infinity - I love a good piece of military fiction. Especially one where I get to make a heroic last stand against the enemy army.
Guns of Infinity - Cements the Infinity series as my favorite multi-part ChoiceScript project. For Tierra!
MetaHuman Inc. - You can save the world and be an honest businessman at the same time, huzzah!
Pendragon Rising - I'm a sucker for Arthuriana. Good reimagining of the classic tales.
Psy High - I quite liked it.
Sixth Grade Detective - Slice of life mystery story, well written. What's not to love?
A Study in Steampunk: Choice by Gaslight - Joined a religious sect after playing years of borderline bigotry against them. Redemption is possible. Another favorite.
Tin Star - Jesus this is a long one! Very satisfying to reach the end. Tons of choices. Great all around.
A Wise Use of Time - A better superhero story than The Prodigy in my opinion. Too bad it doesn't think of itself as a superhero story.
VERSUS: The Lost Ones - Waaaay too much information packed too tightly together. Neat idea, but it seems like a new concept is being introduced in every chapter that requires pages long infodumps.
The Hero Project: Redemption Season - I like the characters, but the moralizing in the narration is far too heavy handed. Contains a serious use of the term "mansplaining" which is just ridiculous.
Lords of Aswick - The Medieval life simulator I didn't know I wanted.
Neighborhood Necromancer - Horror trivia with the banshee was nice. Pacing and plot developments were all over the place though.
