That’s what I was thinking. Maybe by choosing what type of wrestler you are it will increase your stats. The types of wrestler seem pretty self explanatory as to what stats they will increase except technical but I did like the description you gave for it after I customized the attributes. Very precise in their moves and are risk takers. They also usually have a wide arsenal of moves and sometimes are great submissionists .
When will chap 2 be out can’t wait.
What worries me a bit is that, at the very beginning of the story we receive evidence that interspecies transmission is possible- the squirrel. So, if we get a dog, and it bites a Z, does our dog become infected? What are the risks of having a dog vs rewards is already close enough to not want a dog that the possibility of my canine companion biting an infected to defend me and having to put him down after might not be worth it.
That’s a really good point
This was already mentioned in the ZE chap 5 thread with Tobi, biting the zombie does not affect Dogs because they only receive a very small portion of the virus, if any at all. This portion is not enough to affect them and therefore, your dog is (relatively) safe to bite zombies.
So that means we can bite zombies too?
Mmm… Zombie…
So dogs are very resistant to the virus, but not squirrels?
Talk about a strangely selective virus.
different animals have different immune systems.
@RagEngite
You have to consider the immune system of each animal. For instance, a monkey would be more like to be infected than a dog, because they’re closer related to humans.
A dogs saliva cuts away at any bacteria before it can reach the stomach, a dogs mouth is -very-clean. Squirrels/rats/mice are very dirty and tend to carry a lot of disease.
I’ve played Exodus and enjoyed the game completely but since you’re obviously planning on making this game bigger and better I was wondering if there would be more character confrontation, like the obvious: racism, bigotry, aetheist v. religion. Oh and maybe you could give us the option of becoming the leader of our own group of survivors early or whenever we have the right stats and relationships instead of just making it a plot point we have to pass to get to. But besides all that, so far this is looking to be a console/pc worthy story, all you need is everything else consoles/pc games need lol.
I’m curious (sorry if this has been asked before but…) will we be able to choose -not- to be the leader?
Maybe even that, like we could just always have a character that is a major player but doesn’t want the responsiblity of a leader. Oh, and another thing that would be cool is if we could have a bandit character.
@Patch101 transmission is possible, but it affects other species in varied ways. In ZE, squirrels are used in the science background for experimentation, since the virus kills them if it grows out of control. Toby never experienced a bite or infection (as God_of_Demonz said, in small amounts, the virus does nothing to canines). That doesn’t mean dogs don’t carry the virus. So I agree that is something to watch for in Safe Haven.
@FoxalypticWorld @zolo999 good points about selective transmission.
Leadership will change in Safe Haven. If you show no leadership skills, people will not call you leader or follow you. If you join a group, you will fight for the role or choose not to. It’s more dynamic in Safe Haven, since it’s based on choice. Being leader is not predetermined by the plot like ZE Part 5.
@Inepted12 Yes, with all of the customizations, if you choose to play with them, NPCs will react to you with bias, stereotype, etc. It’s just realistic. If a stranger sees your character has facial piercings, blue hair, scars and tattoos, he or she will make a judgment, whether accurate or not.
Yes, based on choice, you’ll have a status and bandit is one option.
Will we have the option of taking leadership by force? Like shooting the current leader and saying I’m in charge now, whoever has a problem with that can take a hike.
@jcury the short answer is yes. You can become leader by vote, by force, or by being the only viable person left. But groups will change over time, and you can potential lead and follow at different times.
@Foxalyptic, that makes two of us
if I said it makes 3 of us would it be overkill?
BTW Will we have the option to go to a military depot like in ZE but make it our safehouse?
This is going to be a great game, I’ll most likely be in the military when this does come out so I don’t know if I’ll have the time to even play but if I do then I plan on playing this until the end. Thanks a bunch Jim.
