Zombie Exodus: Safe Haven -- set for release 10/28/16

I didn’t realize that was the case outside of the US, though the game does state that the story’s taking place in Colorado. Having an 18-year-old working the door at a nightclub would be unusual here, at least in my experience. I suppose it could happen at an all-ages club, but it would still be odd enough that an explanation would help immensely.

Still with 21 he were like 4 years older than you. have you never had a friend four or five years older than you?

Not when I was a junior in high school, no. It may be a cultural difference. My friends were almost entirely classmates, usually the same grade.

Well in most of world it’s normal, I didn’t know in USA it was so important age for friendship. Here it’s normal, children goes to activities outside schools play in parks and play with family friends kids cousins etc. Normally you have friends from a variety of age , here it’s normal so I never found nothing weird in that.

I personally think that common interests plays more of a role in friendship than age. With that said, however, it’s difficult to think of something that both a “perfect GPA, student body president” schoolgirl and a “seven-foot tall, 400lb. nightclub bouncer” would be interested in enough to make them such close friends.

I studied the laws and my best childhood friend is a sailor, a fisherman. He never liked studying and he looked as a bully, even if he never wasn’t. You have never guessed we are friends. Friendship is a mysterious stuff, you couldn’t say x can’t be friend with y , there are so different, because they could be really close in what’s is important, feelings.

Well, you need to have something in common to be friends with people. It’s not “X can’t be friends with Y” as much as it is “If X and Y have Z in common, then they can be friends”. No matter how different two people are, if they have something in common, there can be friendship. I just want to know what is that something in Jenna’s scenario.

Found some stuff hope it helps. Enjoyed the update but I kinda miss Jaime :frowning:

Here’s my character and his weapon at that time I didn’t bring any melee weapon. In the second picture it indicates I killed the old woman with a “knife” to make sure its dead I only carried long ranged weapons.

And here a spelling mistake the “no” should be “a”

Cousins, long-time family neighbors, etc. are treated differently in judging appropriateness of friendships in the parts of the US I grew up in. Once a child goes to high school (equivalent to EU secondary school) and they start participating in activities/clubs finding mentors and “older” friends become more acceptable.

In this story, considering the friendship was started in a social club and having seen those types of friendships blossom in like situations, I saw the friendship as being o.k. The fact that my MC was female and Jamie was a guy would be more problematic, unless there were additional factors (such as Jamie becoming a close family friend of my mom and dad’s as well).

Those high-schoolers involved in many of the arts (singing, theater, etc) also developed more friendships with upperclassmen because trips to compete often involve those alum acting in various capacities. Even the debate and model government teams I was involved in had these types of relationships/friendships develop.

@poison_mara okay I know how to fix the issues. Thanks for explaining your experiences.

@Nathan_Faxon great character. I will add it to my profiles list for when I test.

@Bruno_Frank_Hill I found I have to often check for bare-handed fighters, and sometimes I forget to make that check.

Thanks for the typos too.

@Obsidian yes, restore game works but when I add new variables to the game, the restore function may not restore old codes.

Thanks for the character details :slightly_smiling:

@Jenna_V For teens, the following explanation appears:

Jaime has been your best friend since your first year of high school when you met in an after-school roleplaying game club. Though a senior, Jaime hung out with you and kept the other upper-class students from hazing and harassing you.

If you want that I post my role playing character playthrought and motivations I could do it . After all I would do it anyway just for personal fun.

@poison_mara Yes please.

@JimD
Could we have a choice to leave the expensive rancher if we decide we don’t want to face the Zombies.
How do you get the flares, because you can’t pick them up from the armory.

@Bugreporter

You need at least 3 scavenging, then either rob/loot Lopez. You’ll get 2 flares and a compass, alongside the other stuff.

Hey, @JimD , if someone were to make fanart, would you rather it be posted here or sent to the ZE facebook? As much as I love my Movie Star character, I can’t get my Police Officer out of my head and he’s kinda demanding to be drawn. I blame Rick Grimes. :smile_cat:

Edit: Now that I’m seeing everyone posting their character profiles, I kinda want to too… :cold_sweat:

Sorry wall of text aheadMara Jade Bio

She’s 24 and left Yale law school just a year before graduation. She just discovered that her speeches and good looking could give her more than a law degree tired to watch rich people having all she desired without working for it.Rich boy stole an essay she sent to a national tuition found and nobody did anything for helping her…
She is not strong, but she is fit because sport clubs and hunter clubs are their main w"working battlefield". She is great with range weapons because of that too. Crafting and electronic skills came from forgery documents and electronic records to make con believable. Stealth from entering into places she shouldn’t, like rich clubs, hotels etc and use disguises.

She is ruthless, but love her family cat included. She would die for them without even blink. She is caring and love joking. If she could save someone without losing anything she would if not the stranger could search for a hero elsewhere. No problems with killing, authorities, like police etc., but I don’t think she would kill a family or children except she has to save his nephew. She could help ordinary citizens with her speeches.

Of course Mara would icing the cake with Darlene. But I found strange no option to just with the kitchen option I couldn’t scavenge anything in the house. My girl would steal a weapon or something like that. Like an old indigenous bow or a obsidian axe from The Faulner art collection.
Well she reached home and first thing is phone the school. Then she gathered all stuff and prepare the house to the apocalypse. She calls the hospital and hugs his poor nephew.

I steal Lopez stuff and killed Cowboy so know finally have ranged weapons.

When the people trying to enter in the M family house I convince them to go away and the son is not sick. I found weird my girl couldn’t go inside after the gunshot. I suppose guy just suicide so why not steal his gun and food. Or maybe even found pet food outside.

Wow this makes me want to create a ‘life before the outbreak’ backstory for Mallory.

@Bugreporter I can add that option to the expensive rancher. And as @NJG stated, flares and other things are on Lopez.

@Lithophene please post here or FB. I’ll repost on FB with your permission if placed here.

@poison_mara great profile. I’ll add it to my list.

I could make some profiles too, if you’re interested.

I’m happy to get as many as possible. Varied ones help. As I play the game, I try to imagine various profiles to cover styles of play.
