In game teenager
Impressive game and well written. Mammoth task, Iām certain. Iām keeping my eyes on this one (and for stray zombies).
Iām Australian so I just take stabs at the dark with American stuffā¦
I wonder what itās like to be a sumo wrestler in the Apocalypse.
As a College Student, using a Compound bow as primary weapon, at day 1, when the guy in the golden chains comes limping close to your home followed by two zombie women, and you rush outside to kill them, thereās the following phrase in the third paragraph:
āYou aim the compound bow at the woman on your left and fire. The arrow her ear, and blood spurts from the wound.ā
Thereās a missing āhitsā on āThe arrow her earā part.
The next page have him walking away. At the end of the description, it says you wonder if you could have saved him had you done anything different, even though you did save him.
At this same day, thereās the crafting option. Choosing the last option, āOn second thought, I donāt make anythingā takes you to the choice of considering whether or not you want to craft another item, instead of taking you back to the main choices.

These are my stats. I love so much this update, It felt so credible, I just finding weird my girl after killed the cowboy doesnāt steal his military clothes and documents⦠Lol I am a con artist with skills in crafting and hacking⦠With his documents and uniform I could use them to enter in a base, bypass soldier in a control ⦠con a family to let her enter their home and then bang bang, steal time. Even if you canāt add so detailed actions to the game. I could understand it but you at least could let the player picked them as maybe I could use them later on and that never happens. Itās I canāt imagine a poisoner bard as Mara without grabbing the uniform and military data.
I have found an inconsistence error In my hacker with only pet owner handicap after killing the first soldier bounded The my nephew scared scenario triggered. So I haveto explained him why I killed the soldier Itās funny for a moment thought It was my cat talking lol.
@7TreeSparrows I thought about it but at this point, I donāt think it adds much to the game.
@Bruno_Frank_Hill I want to add rewards for lots of things eventually so any suggestions are appreciated. MCs will get some points just for surviving (based on Intelligence).
Dependents improved based on teaching him skills, his experiences, and your choices. Itās not implemented yet but once it is, Iāll ask for feedback.
@Oirbse thatās not good. Iāll work on that.
Good feedback. I need to know what people think about number of points.
Thatās a tough one because it pushes people into using their primary skills. I would never use anything else if I received skill points for it. Also i do reward or penalize people for successes and failures, just not in skill points. The game tweaks fatigue, stress, health, etc.
You may get your wish.
Thatās awesome. I love when a scene makes you act out-of-character.
@StarshinaSokolov
Great. Iām glad you like that feature.
This is a great strategy and one I had no considered.
Does this match the way you feel you played? Those paired stats give me trouble in coding.
One thing your MC points out to me is my need to have more levels of success. Instead of just success or failure, I need big success, moderate success, minimal success, etc.
@Lightsavior thatās my plan
@NukeboomV2 itās not uncommon in Colorado for a teen to have a gun but I can add a line about an adult having purchased it.
@Nathan_Faxon I will add your conspiracy-theorist hacker to my list of profiles I keep for testing. I like it.
@GoldenXan Thanks, Iāll fix those errors.
@poison_mara I really like the idea of stealing the soldierās uniform and ID. Iāll add it in.
Iāll fix this! Thanks.
Well, I played the game again and wrote down my comments on how my actions affected my stats (and also on some of the story itself). Itās here if you want to check it out: http://freetexthost.com/vivrzaldr5
I love the nephew now. But After reading the scene after killing a man for the loot and telling him I am afraid you take the road many rpg picked before, If youāre ruthless with strangers you are an ass and are cruel with your family. My character with nephew loves him and itās the only family she has, she is really ruthless because she is absolutely obsessed with maintaining them and the cat alive. She is caring and supportive with his ideas she hugs him and try to explain things he could understand with his age, while teaching him that the world now itās different from a week ago. So please, Donāt misunderstand ruthless with strangers during a chaotic apocalypse with She is a bully psycho that hate the child.
Do we need a flare gun to activate the flares or could we just activate it manually?
Also, are flare guns stored in that armory?
Edit:
If the MC killed Cowboy/White/Croston, shouldnāt he get their protective vests, along with their stuff?
Glad you like it. I made a profile and personality for every profession if you wanna hear it.
@StarshinaSokolov thanks for this document of feedback. Itās better than I could have expected. Some reviews of my recent game criticize it for not using stats properly, so I am trying to get it right with this game. I will read it all and use it in editing those scenes.
@poison_mara are you saying you treated the nephew with kindness but they game acted like you hated him?
@NJG the flares are road-side, single-use ones activated manually.
As for the soldiers, i plan to add the option to take their gear, uniforms, and identification.
@Bugreporter currently, level 7 is master.
@Nathan_Faxon I want your main, most-invested character. When you play āfor realā, who are you?
I always choose with him the caring and loving responses. I hug him when we discovered that his mother was dead. I agree with his plans and praised him because he is a really nice intelligent boy. So all was ok, But when he saw I killed the dying soldier, Lopez I explained him He is already doomed and we need his stuff, since they he is acting as I am monster more because I killed the other soldier Cowboy. I understand that he is scared and is only 8 years, and needed more time to understand the apocalyptic chaos. But my character canāt hug him and explained him that she would never harm him , I know that you have written similar lines for the short fuse. Why couldnāt you add something similar here?
But The weirdest thing I found in a replay was with a medic soldier. She murdered them cold blood 2 soldiers for looting, but when Dante was suffering she couldnāt kill him and she returned home saying bizarre stuff about Hippocratesā promise⦠You just killed two damn soldiers in cold blood!!! Merely two hours ago!
Definitely my Hacker. Iāve replayed her character countless times and built a solid profile.

Profession: Hacker.
Bisexual
Blue hair, hazel eyes.
Distinguishable features: Ear plugs, Lotus tattoo on left arm.
Weapon of choice: Fire Ax, Pepper Spray.
Challenges: Addiction to Nicotine, Fear of heights.
Daring.
Honorable.
Manipulative.
Practical.

Personality: Conspiracy Theorist who believes the military is hiding what they know about the virus to the point of obsession. Not very trusting towards strangers, but wonāt ignore them if theyāre in distress. Respects Jaime for his shared conspiracies. Paranoid and demoralised by the outbreak.
Sheās very practical and a good survivalist, filling the bath and setting up defences in the first few hours and made traps for animal captures and scouted homes on day two. Tries to stay away from growing communities, thinking people are more dangerous than zombies.
Goals: To find Julianne, her former lover, any means necessary, using people and resources to further her searches. Find out what the government is hiding from them.
Notable events:
Accepted Julianneās proposal for the thrill.
Sneaks up and kills zombie at her door.
Searched Lopez for bites before helping, confronted the soldiers about hiding something.
Saved Dante but kept an eye on him when she returned home.
Stayed out of the situation with Kellyās mob.
hey @JimD skim playing as an MMA fighter but one thing Iāve noticed is sometimes the writing is really descriptive, such as saying you roundhouse kick someoneās templeā¦at other times it says you raise āthe weaponā and hit so an so with the weaponā¦thatās using bare hands obvs, not a major complaint, but does read a bit weird lol.
same playthrough this happened when your sf defence is low and find a zombie in your sf "but the truck changes gear, and the revving motor draws the zombie back. You readjust and swing again, driving your first " misspelling of fist.
just killed the female zombie in the three story house and chose to make sure sheās dead "She remains still, but you draw out your knife and " had bare hands as primary and secondary weapon.
the pickup scene ""You two two donāt look like you live 'round " repetition of two.
same scene "truckās doors open and from it steps a man and a women, and you " should be woman.
"trained in kickboxing. Rumor has it he was banned for implicated in " for being implicated in?b
Does the update still allow me to restore my previous game? or should I start again at the beginning?
Iām still not clear on how or why my character, a teenage girl who has a perfect GPA (High Int, science) and is basically the student body president (High Cha, persuasion, leadership), is friends with Jaime, a seven-foot tall, 400lb. bouncer at a nightclub. That seems a littleā¦weird. Maybe add a teenager-unique paragraph to explain that Jaime is a friend of your fatherās or something? Or maybe add a choice section, so you could decide if he was a friend of your fatherās, someone you made friends with to get you into the nightclub, or maybe someone you met online.
We never know Jaime age, In Spain and many Latino countries with 18 you could drink and work in night business, here really most of that people working in that they are about 18-twenty something. So in teen background he could have like 20 so have a friend four or five years older is common everywhere. Many of my friends as teen were older than me.
