Zombie Exodus: Safe Haven -- set for release 10/28/16

Thanks for the update, I like the old version and this one.
Just one question, I focus on moving in a safer area but I just stay in the house, is it normal ?

@Azael We’re only 2 chapters in and a few main story plot missions (Ex. Jaime) got moved into chapter 3&4.
The timeline has been changed to where the zombies down crush society on day one. Now they take their sweet time. And THEN crush society.
You’ll probably get a chance to look for new places to live in past chapter 4

how about if you choose the homemaker path you have a choice to still be married or not that would be kind a cool and maybe if you choose to be the commander if your charisma and leader ship is good have choice of having some soldiers with you that would be bad ass lol

Can you please please please add a scope and a bayonet in the armory? I’d like add it to my M1903 Springfield rifle.

Also, which is better: an M4 Carbine or M16A2 rifle? I really can’t decide for myself which is better.

well there almost the same really semi-automatic and automatic weapon same ammo but the M16A2 is longer than the M4 but the M4 is a carbine were the M16 is a assault rifle plus the M16 has longer range of 550 meters (point target), 800 meters were the M4 has 500 m for a point target and 600 m for an (area target)

Isn’t the M16 three round burst and single shot only? Not automatic?

@JimD
I found this spelling mistake in chapter 1.
I chose “Call my neighbor, Fred.” Then “Tell me about yourself, Fred. What do you do for a living?”.
I had crafting 46%/level 2: beginner.

Tools.

I found this spelling mistake in chapter 2, when I went outside to check on the crowd at the house with the man and his infected son.

Add a double quote mark before ‘Mrs’.
I found this error in chapter 1 in the suburbs at 9.00.

I found this spelling mistake in chapter 2 when Dante was being chased by the Zombies.
I selected “Do nothing. I can’t risk helping him.”

Only the A1 and A3 variants…The M4 is also a 3-burst weapon, only the A1 variant fires in full-auto.

The M16A2 and the M4 are basically the same weapon, except the M4 is half a kilo lighter and 16cm smaller, while giving up only 50m of it’s effective range.

@faewkless @NJG I have some prototype/unusual guns coming that were reader created as part of a Facebook contest I ran but sadly no gunblade yet.

I will add scopes and bayonets later but not in early chapters. I want people to have goals :smile:

@MichaelMaxwell some customization had to be dropped, such as selecting dependent and pet gender, just so I can focus on other things. Coding such things actually sucks up a ton of time.

@StarshinaSokolov

Thanks, I fixed it.

Also, in your previous feedback, you said: “-Staff Sergeants are NCOs, not COs, so the Military Commander wouldn’t be one.”

Where did I list they are COs? I can’t find it to fix it.

I changed all of the weapons to your suggestions, except for shotguns. From several resources, I found the Remington 870 as the standard shotgun and Benelli M4 as backup/alternate. You suggested the M1 (Benelli?). Do you have a reference for that?

@Azael I’ll be adding a way to move to a new home or safe haven in a future chapter.

@Arcane_warrior it’s too complex to change homemaker as this point to include a spouse. For military commanders, you will gain followers eventually, possibly even soldiers.

@Bugreporter thanks again for finding all of these typos.

Got this error when I tried to search one of the houses
CarryList line 517: Non-existent variable ‘ammo_shells’

Do all classes have the ability to gain followers or just military commanders? And if all can gain followers is there a difference in quality and will they be randomized names/people or is there going to be a set group of NPCs of varying quality and dispositions that can follow you?

Will our actions in the previous game influence anything in the sequel?

CO = Commissioned Officer.
Military Commander = Commissioned Officer.
Staff Sergeant = Non-Commissioned Officer.
See the problem? Commanders are inherently commissioned, so you should change the rank.

My sources about the shotguns were from the '97 (which I somehow misread as '07), so feel free to disregard the information. I apologize for passing on the information without double-checking the date. Could you show me your sources? I’d like to stay up to date.

I believe that was already addressed and IIRC it’s no. The previous game was about a group of survivors on the other side of the country far away from your group.

Thanks, I couldnt find if it was already adressed.

Oh yeah, that I agree.

oh well… so I’m guessing the game would already be a big story on it’s own then? if so, then bring it on!

would just be bad ass just have this idea of being a band of rouge soldiers with me at the head taking what ever we want you know cause your a commander right should have some troops even if there are zombies every were lol

Plus whens the next up date just killing me waiting just have to know what happens next. lol

Referring to the types of groups, I’m hoping I can create a tight knit group of 9 or 10 people with various professions and skills with my Hacker character and keep it that way. We turn away other survivors but we don’t take take supplies from others to avoid enemies.

Are you hoping to create a bandit group or a sort of militia?
