Zombie Exodus: Safe Haven -- set for release 10/28/16

This is going back to the topic of special zombies, one idea is a zombie wearing swat armor, or some form of body armor. Another idea is a zombie in military gear with live grenades on him, similar to what occurred in the walking dead if you’re up to date with it. Or just something simple like a zombie on fire.

I agree with this, I think that having zombies in special circumstances is way better than having special zombies.

A radioactive zombie or one on fire would harm you if get close. The military vest with grenades would make it risky to shoot. Also a zombie with some sort of, I dont know, bee hive growing on it that you should avoid killing not to have a swarm coming for you, that kind of thing.

How… would a bee hive grow on a… zombie?

@acham028 we had a discussion of this earlier on in the thread. Unique zombies that make a one time appearance. I came up with two:

A bone shanker, a zombie’s arm is so heavily damaged and decomposed that all that remains from the elbow down is a jagged bone, but it still thinks it’s got it’s hand, so when he tries to make a grab for you there’s a possible chance he will slash or impale you on that bone.

The second is a barbed zombie. The unfortunate zed got caught up in some barbed wire or razor wire, but managed to survive and untangle itself with pieces still attached to it. You might get diced up if it grabs or tackles you.

The radioactive zombie could cause different damage to a fire zombie. Fire obviously causing burns and physical damage and a radioactive zed will cause sickness, temporarily knocking our stats down a little until we recover.

In chapter 1 I was a Homemaker, had visited PrimeFoods and had 30 portions of food but when I selected ‘Have a meal’. It said “Considering you have roughly twenty meals worth of food, you…”.

Those all sound really interesting, would be cool if they ended up in ZE. But yeah, they would have to be a one off. Don’t want this to turn into left 4 dead.

So im not certain if someone caught this, my bad if they did. I was reading the safe haven demo and went with the MMA career. I wanted to let u know that theres a typo when Tony comes out with a massive revolver, its “wish” in the game I think instead of with.

@JimD

What exactly is a “biological part”? I saw that my MC had 3 of them-

Biological parts (3).

Also, how did I get it?

FOR SCIENCE. nah I believe the biological things are for the scientist profession to muck about with. Which profession do you have?

When this happened my profession was the Laborer. I also don’t recall receiving something like this.

@JimD
In the prologue when I played as a Professional Wrestler I chose “Dive over the top rope and tackle the strange man attacking Nightstar.” Then “Pick up the gun and shoot the women.”

In chapter 1 in the inventory the item ‘.38 caliber ammo loads’ needs a space after ‘loads’.

In the prologue as a college student I clicked on “Please schedule your apartment showing” then “Distract the zombie to let John escape” I found this spelling error.

“You job away, keeping the cabbie in sight while remaining a distance away.”
jog away

I found a second spelling error when i clicked “Distract the zombie to let John escape”.
“Hey driver,” you yell
The comma might need to be changed to a full stop.

“You meet John on the corner of dilapidated and drab, the street names should used have used when this intersection was built.”
that should have been used

I found this spelling error in chapter 2 when rescuing Jaime at the school with Jillian.
I chose to “Go up the southwestern stairwell past the cafeteria.” Then “Create noise in the back of the cafeteria to draw the zombies away from the kitchen.”
“I know it sounds difficult, but zombies are simple-minded creatures who we can quick.”
Trick.

@acham028 I’ll have to come up with some unique ideas for special zombies, such as wearing SWAT armor, but I have to be careful not to repeat things done on The Walking Dead. They’ve done that, zombies on fire, and ones with grenades. Z Nation did a radioactive zombie episode. Funny thing is that a Steam reviewer said ZE ripped off TWD, and I started ZE before TWD aired. Of course, the more popular title wins that war of comparisons.

@Bugreporter good point about the food. It’s fixed in my local copy, as well as the other typos you reported.

@Pqfire09 no one caught that yet. Thanks!

@NJG it’s a plant part or other part from a living organism. I will likely change it to something more meaningful. They are used in the recipes for medicinal items.

If not SWAT why not military? Honestly a lot of SWAT gear is not rated to be effective against high velocity rounds like from an M-4.
Something like a pilot:

Or a Turret Gunner:

Could work as well.

Man, I think I’d find a zombie capable of scaling walls more terrifying than a zombie in some sort of armor. Imagine a zombie with twisted limbs just climbing up where you think you’re safe. I get shivers just thinking about it. Spider zombies, hrgh.

Yeah, such zombie is way more scary  but it’s also much more unrealistic . How could you logically explain why zombie is able to do it? (maybe this kind of zombie evolved from “normal” zombie as a result of experiments performed by humans? In this case we would be able to run across only handful of such zombies but for me it would be much cooler than meeting hundreds of them without any particular explanation)

It wouldn’t be that far fetched, in my opinion! We already saw in ZE that the virus was capable of evolving. My scientist nearly flipped a table when that sample of the odd goop started to move towards him! Plus, some of the zombies have already been described as having oddly angled limbs. What’s a bit more deformation. /snickers/

In chapter 1 I played as an infantry soldier and had an addiction to alcohol as a challenge, but the game acts like I have an addiction to nicotine.

I found this spelling mistake in the hacker profession. I chose to visit Julianne in the internet cafe and selected ‘I leave through the back’

Delete the full stop before ‘The’.

In chapter 1 I chose to call Fred then selected “Tell me about yourself, Fred. What do you do for a living?” I found this spelling mistake.

“I’m pretty handy with a set of tells but no expert,” you say.
Should be tools. I had crafting 46%.

Are you eventually going to add a use for insulin?

I noticed that on choice of games website, on Zombie Exodus under ‘about’ and ‘Writer’ your name is written as James Dattilo.

Jim is short for James. You know, like “Damn it Jim, I’m a doctor not a [something]!”
