I completely understand and enjoy the current romantic options you’re focusing on. I had a funny idea to shake things up a bit and introduce some competition for Madison, in addition to having him as a romantic option. I appreciate how the MC can feel jealous of Kevin, and I thought it would be entertaining to switch roles and have some fun with that dynamic.

Only if I can get the chance to kill him after looking at Madison.

Hi @JimD Thanks so much for sharing your wonderful talent in these games/interact novels! I’ve played through ZE, ZESH, and the beta for ZE:S so far, and it really feels like a wholesome story that despite having many choices, it feels like it all ties together

The character-building is spot on and are quite consistent surprisingly, and perhaps the only thing if I may suggest that may make the immersion cooler/more in depth is if for the specific storyline character backrounds (soldier, scientist) it might make sense of certain characters have more of a reaction/options regarding it. For example, if Paul (from Safe Haven Orion) is part of the US government, he might be interested that the MC is for example an Army captain or scientist, or the New Army soldiers that MC encounters with Billie and Reilly in Chapter 14(15?). Or when Jude initially meets the MC (soldier) in Part 2, since both have Col. Faulkner as their commander, it would’ve made a lot of sense if the MC could’ve introduced themselves to him

I am mostly still confuses about this Zeta virus, normally Virus outbreak divide population into three, unexposed (healthy never been in contact with Virus/exposed but not infected), inflected (those infected with Virus) and carrier ( those that carry the virus but unaffected/develop immunity to it)

Certainly from the first game show that Zeta have human carrier, however it never being explored as much, Zeta transmitting from body fluids like saliva, mucus and blood so isn’t it possible that someone could kiss a carrier (or share a meal, sexual activity, etc) and turn into zombie🤔

Because it’s the end of the world it’s unlikely that people being tested probably most just scanned for bites but because existence of Carrier when carrier enter a survivor camp doesn’t that make the survivor exposed to the virus?

I think at this point, pretty much everyone is at least exposed to the virus, since just about everyone living seems to have fought and/or been with someone who has died of the virus. Zeta seems to only be spread via a bite from an infected. Even scratches don’t appear to do the trick, nor does being drenched in infected blood. The only instance where this isn’t the case is in Lancelot lab, if you aren’t wearing a hazmat suit, but I believe it’s stated that the virus is in it’s purest form there, or was being manipulated. The exact science of Zeta is glossed over, because most readers aren’t virologists, nor is JimD (to my knowledge). In cases like this, it’s better to have nebulous science, rather than bad science, just my opinion.

Well okay that make sense.

Hi @JimD some quick comments if you would like on ZESH

  1. In P1 when your at your house on the first day, and you get supplies from Fred/neighbour, the options come up again on day 2 even if you already did them.

  2. Rachel’s task assignments in P3 never assigns Jude to anything

  3. The morale/allegiance system has some (bugs?) basically despite having over 115 cigarettes, 139 painkillers, etc. they are still always listed as “breakdown of losses” that contributed to my morale decreasing from 91 to 79 within a single chapter, even though my task assignments were balanced and I also contributed to socializing and maintaining (morale boost). Binoculars and sewing kits are also always listed as consumables that are consumed by the group and I’m not sure if that is super logical. This also prevents you from ever crafting clothing items like Ghillie suits because the sewing kits you have are always consumed by the group before you get the chance to craft the items.

Also quick question, how does the group faction relationships system work? is higher number meaning more friendly?

Hello everyone and Jim, I’m new here and I would really like to express my fascination with Zombie Exodus, the game is amazing and I’m looking forward to its sequel. I would like to make a few considerations. I live in Brazil and so I hope they don’t judge the English (translator), is it ever possible to update the language? In Portuguese?

About the Game
I played Zombie Exodus in different possible scenarios and my favorite is the teenage MC and I really like doing the “evil” route, it’s interesting to see how the decisions are rising. When we are group leader and we do this route without “morals” I would like to see the fear of the group members with the MC because he is a little crazy, it would be interesting to see a rebellion against our leadership.

Another interesting point is romantic relationships, when I’m a teenager I like to have a relationship with Madison, I really like her even though I’m quite rude to her on the routes. I played the demo recently and there’s a scene with Kevin where he’s holding a picture of Medison, I decided to hit him because of that. Is it possible that MC tries to kill Kelvin because of his excessive jealousy? And the reaction What about Madison? Is it possible to make her believe that Kelvin is the culprit and we are the victim?

Finally, do you have a release date?

Once again I would like to say how interesting and amazing this game is, I hope for many sequels in the future and an update to Portuguese, maybe?
Sorry if the English is wrong.

Love hearing other players method of play. I also like teenager, and Madison is my favorite RO, but I play a little more middle of the morality road. If I can get what I want by being nice, I’m nice. If another group is hostile, or a threat to my group, I deal with them more permanently.

Jim has said he intends to finish by the end of the year, I haven’t heard any update to that timeline, but going by the demo, I think the writing might be finished somewhere between January and March. After the writing is finished, CoG has a review/testing period. I recall hearing on one thread or another, that the review process takes about a year. So we’re looking at late 2025 or early 2026 for release.

Oh, and welcome to the forums

I confess that this increases my anxiety, hahah

I remember at the beginning of the game that there was a politician profession, it was something really cool, I would like to know why it is no longer there, it would be interesting to see the game within the political aspect since it is talked about in history that the government remains standing.

Taking a wicked route is like having more “freedom”

I wonder if something similar happened in real life, I believe a lot of people would be like that. But even so, sometimes I can’t do the 100% evil route, like attacking the family at the bar.

Thank you for the suggestions. I try to add lots of different content related to each background, and it’s really helpful when people give me concrete reminders or suggestions. So thank you for these. I will work on it.

Thanks, I will work on fixing these.

Yes, the group faction is a scale, so at higher number means they think more highly of you.

Thank you and I appreciate your comments.

Yes, I haven’t written all of that part yet. But there is going to be a part where you manipulate the situation to your favor, even if you were the aggressor.

I am turning in the files in April or May of 2025 and then it depends on the publishing schedule.

I’ll say it now. Looking forward to a Billie romance in the possible future?

Probably not

I think it would interesting to show her as an asexual character.

Hey! I finished playing SH part three and I can’t continue the save on part four. Will this be added later? Or am I doing something wrong? By the way, love your story, I played all since Exodus part one. I’m completely addicted to this saga

Regarding the educational background of the main character (for example, a teacher, superintendent, counselor, coach, or even a school nurse), could there be potential for the MC to take on the role of a teacher? This could serve not only to help their nephew and Missy survive, but also to teach subjects such as Math, English, History, Social Studies, Government/Civics, Environmental Science, Computer Science, Art, Music, Foreign Language, Physical Education, Health, and Psychology.

Additionally, it would be intriguing to see the MC working at Chipper Ridge High School, perhaps preventing or even saving some of the students who were locked in the gym. Alternatively, the MC could also be depicted as the nephew’s teacher, taking him home after being notified of the situation.

It would also be cool to see a teacher role at Deadbury Academy too, but these are just a couple of my ideas. I love your game and I look forward to seeing what the future brings.
