When doing the pharmacy mission I am unable to offer Parker the insulin I have had since part 1, despite telling him I had it during our phone call.
Slightly confused about the part with Finnâs knapsacks. Is there a reason we automatically steal his stuff?
Rachel grabs it while he is unresponsive following our offer to mercy kill his wife. If it makes you feel better he robs us back without a word.
After putting some thought into it, I think Rachel was attempting to force him to join by distributing his stuff among the group. In his distraught state he wouldnât be able to remember his supplies accurately, and would be forced to either stick around or pick a fight with the group. To bad she didnât count on him having the skills to just take what he needed and skedaddle.
I donât think so. Rachelâs job is to gather a selective group consist only a few elites to survive outbreak but she hasnât seen enough of finnâs actions to judge well.
Knowing her, she probably think he will follow his girl soon anyway, better put his resources to good use for the still-living.
Well yeah.
My confusion is why my character is assumed to be a-ok with robbing this guy blind right after his wife died.
Because he really isnât. Unless Iâm doing a bandit playthrough.
Does anyone knows how to get the porn magazine for Lopez ?
Wasnât it one of the things you could get, when negotating with the sniper? Or by searching the room before you go to the roof.
Take it from Nora? Maybe she would trade it for alcohol? Jk. Tho Iâm pretty sure that in one playthrough MC pointed out that Lopez would be interested in the magazine Nora was reading and Nora said in a harsh tone that she wouldnât give it away.
For me is really interesting how these scenes change so much on the basis characters agency and motivations. I 90% times kill the Guy and find Rachael is ROBBING me she was stealing My stuff to put in her group to look like she has more resources and gain power. the fact that funerary girl lies in my face saying it was a tragic misunderstandingâŚ
a brilliant scene that shows a character personality and morality in few paragraphs. Good scene right there.
@Sneaks Rachel has always been a pragmatic survivalist, she can even lie and try to manipulate you if she thinks it could help the group to survive.
So of course she wonât hesitate to steal a stranger resources.
It will be really interesting if Keith sends a threat letter like the bandit group did in the first game and then the MC has to take the fight to Silverthornes before it even starts for real. Like scoping out their territory, infiltrating their base and spying on them from a distance or sneaking in and destroying their safe place. It will make a really great mission in my opinion rather than a more conventional fight between the two groups for survival
Yep that I definitely agree on that. I have a custom sniper and would absolutely destroy the the Silverthornes. It would also be cool if we could assassinate Keith and set up a puppet maybe choose someone from are group
Rachelâs motivations are irrelevant to the point Iâm trying to make.
The player character in this scene has no option but to view an act of theft (directly robbing someone, not just scavenging unattended items) as being acceptable. This is inconsistent with the rest of the game where if the player character is comfortable with theft, itâs because the player decided they are.
A few bugs to report here.
Highlighted text should be âheâsâ:
Missing full stop after âhillâ:
Two things here. Medical scrubs wouldnât make a person seem more intimidating. Probably more persuasive, if anything. Also, with the white coat and suit, there is a missing indication of how much more persuasive it makes you:
I spoke to Jude but barely had anything worth trading. He even gave my stuff back. Besides, he was screwing me over so I just decided to leave. He was also pissed. I had intentions of picking through some things before I left the building but the text here makes it seem like I was successful in trading and making a deal with him and when I wasnât able to:
Rachel at that point is still an independent leader of a separate team from yours. Pretty sure sheâs not going to heed your orders, what else can the mc do then? Point a gun at her and tell her to âleave itâ?
Is it just me or do we not have the option to give the new groups a fake name ? (Like we could to the guy who was calling his house to see if his parents were ok.) It was a minor choice, that I can imagine a lot of people not using unless you play a manipulative survivor or just one that doesnât trust strangers which is how I noticed the impact it had on my Con-Artist, because it was very uncharacteristic of her to feel the need to tell a stranger her real name.
It would be a nice reference/Easter egg that ties back to the original exodus but, I imagine if you killed his 2 lackeys heâd want to kill you immediately no warning just show up with a raiding party. Also, he already told us his intentions I think it would be stupid on his part to send a threat letter that just restates what he already said and makes the enemies prepare even more for a possible attack on their community. So, I hope heâll be a smarter possible antagonist and not advertise the fact that he plans to attack us (if it comes to that).
Yes. Weâre capable of doing much worse in more perilous situations already.
Rachel isnât unreasonable and is totally willing to take direction from someone else. Sheâs deferring to the player character already if they take charge of the group from the outset.
You can find an adult magazine if you scavenge alone when you head to the caravan with Jaime.
Sure, the MC could threaten her in an attempt to stop her (even though doing it at the time where Rachel and the MC are part of two separate groups would probably damage/ ruin your budding relationship with her group. Or, she could just wait while your preoccupied with other business and steal Finnâs supplies anyway.) Yeah, Rachel will defer to the player/MCâs judgement but, she has no problem with acting on her own and making âmorally questionableâ decisions if she feels like it will benefit the groups survival regardless of you liking it or agreeing with her. Sure itâs odd or unusual for a morally sound, righteous or decent MC to not want to stop someone from doing what they consider wrong, especially if itâs in their purview but Iâm guessing it was a necessary scene to portray the shadiness and pragmatic side of Rachel and it wasnât something you could prevent or change. (Yes, Iâm speculating on that but it is something to consider.)
I always thought Rachel took the things after Finn left the scene, not totally, but the place where we, or someone else mercikills his wife. I never thought he would come back to the body. So seeing that he joins us, my MC takes this for granted, so neither of my MCs had a problem with taking the backpacks.
