Zombie Exodus: Safe Haven General Discussion (Part 3 beta coming in December)

New Army does sound like the group that could have the best chance of fighting the Militia on equal terms when it comes to weaponry. Although I do suspect the Militia is a far larger group than a single group, especially New Army since Keith says he has at least 80 people but that may be an lie in order to get us to “join.”

Lets assume he has 80 people how many of them are actually slaves and pawns, would guess minimum 50%

These slaves could be forced to fight us as well while the majority of the Militia’s trusted people sits back.

Forced fighters are not really effective^^ they were pawns and slaves for a reason, so being clever you could free them or just intimidate them, My guess is Keith has about 20 fighters, and I suppose there are some who only work for him because of fear, so his numbers are not sooooo impressive, as he might think

I just realised, we could just join the Silverthorne Militia and use our persuasion/ intimidation to get people to secretly join our revolt, as it seems he has recruited many strong people we could use (and may not happily join via force)

I may have to go by the taking the guy hostage route, if I can remember how to do it

In the new phone conversation, Goodman says that he has 1000 troops under his control, with field recruitment increasing that . This means that he beats the SM in numbers as well. However, he also says that the NA is very decentralized, and if Jude is any indication, he doesn’t have a strong means of punishing (or maybe even preventing) deserters. He also may not be able to call upon all 1000 at any given time.

As for the pets, do you think that our existing pets could have puppies/kittens? That we could train?

Well I’ll give you that one. And I do believe having some training would be effective in a battle against those that does not so who knows how many fighters are in the Militia or even how well trained they are. We already saw Keith and his trusted few are extremely well trained if your MC ends up into a standoff with him.

There’s also the possibility that we do not know how many people the other group has at this point. If we banded together against the Militia, the numbers might be close to even. Then it would all come down to training and whoever would get to the MC or Keith first.

Edited: Just found out about the size of New Army so never mind on that part.

Edit 2: In reference to the post below this one, I probably would choose to fight Keith up close with a machete considering I have superior training with guns and close range weapons in my canon playthrough.

I think Mara will charming him and killing him when he is happy then black widow àchievement. That if Mara doesn’t end like .in marriage with him and Like super Queen of Nighfall or Widow queen. Like Canon Mara is single and will infiltrate…

Or how about telling Keith & SM about a grocery store, then warning Jude that the Silverthornes are coming and offering to be his spotter ?

Normally my cop MC would be all for peaceful resolution with them but they came into his home and pointed guns at his people not to mention the journal he found on the road and he knows that the old ways are gone and while he is not looking for a fight he will not run from one and Kieth better be watch his back

100% agreed. I wish that there’s an option to give Kelly to Keit and they group leaves us alone.

I would like to see if MC’s pet can have puppies/kittens (for dogs, I believe that our pet is an intact male, as Billie tells us to keep him away from her dog as she is in heat).

The general sentiment on Kelly seriously makes me think @JimD has got a nasty surprise lined up for us :kissing:

Even tho all the dislike I hope more that Kelly will go through some serious character development instead of ending up as zombie food. Like Candace (if I recall her name correctly) in the original ZE.

Kelly is good tv celebrity… she could turn into that female protagonist in Edge of tomorrow, Rita Vrataski…suit up and call for everyone unite against zombie

eh, I’m sure there’s another group that we haven’t come across that makes the Silverthornes look like an elementary school bullies compared to them. (I know you said at this point but I don’t think they’re the major threat based off what the newsletter says). Off course, what’s in the newsletter isn’t necessarily going to make the final cut but it’s something to keep in mind.

I was thinking they have more in common with the commonwealth since they have the largest group so far, and they have their own army(sure, you could say the same for Keith but, the New Army has a lot more soldiers or appears to.)

It sounds like you’re suggesting we create a situation where the River Dogs are forced into a fight with the Silverthorne Militia which could result in the former’s deaths given the fact that they’d be outnumbered and possibly outgunned. Not to mention they’re just a former baseball team and not a lot of time has passed for them to be lethal, adaptable survivors.

Why do you think Rachel would have a problem with taking their base ? The reasons you listed for wanting to take their base seem like things I can see her agreeing with.

@The_Division Regarding how to handle the Silverthornes, I did vote to fight them, but honestly, I don’t think the situation/possible conflict with the Silverthornes is going to be as simple as fight them, negotiate(if possible) or join them.(Yes, we will probably have those choices, but that doesn’t mean the consequences/effects of our actions won’t mean we get off Scott free or that we will automatically win a fight with them.) So I’m open to doing whatever needs to be done in that situation.

Give or take in several more years in this world, our group are probably going to be running into a group of people wearing the zombie skins. But yeah there’s probably some people out there in the apocalypse that would make Keith look like a second grader.

Commonwealth seems to be about to be plunged into a civil war in the comics. The only issue with NA that I heard about is people are apparently deserting them for various reasons and the leader seems like it isn’t his problem or he can’t exactly do something about it for some reason.
