Zombie Exodus: Safe Haven General Discussion (Part 3 beta coming in December)

No, morality doesn’t make things easier, but I think the point @Fiend was trying to raise is that the SH group is just more ethically sound.

I mean, Tom was a sociopath that tore apart the group for a petty grudge. The leaders in SH are a step up from that, excluding the wild card that is the MC.

Whether that morality will prove to be a good thing or a bad thing is still up in the air, but as it stands, the characters are still morally better.

For now, anyways.

I don’t think Rachel has been really ruthless in her approach to survival. She’s being pragmatic and acknowledging the fact that other humans are going to be the more dangerous threat and that the people in the group are ill-prepared even if it’s not what they want to hear.

I think as most of you play goodies with goodies goals and goodies directives all our perspective is driven but that specific choice.

If however you play raider are a raider leader and everyone is on board the experience is absolutely the contrary all of you are saying.

That’s the beauty of cog. If I am saying this is any casual that could appear would get a very very very wrong idea that game only HAVE GOODIE CHOICES WITH GOODIE MORALS AND absolutely all romantic choices have and are made with only a goodie character in mind.

That’s totally false. Jim has been working REALLY hard to addition of really cool romantic scenes in next updates for more dark side players.

I really think is needed mention this because many casuals really believe and left bad critics because there is not enough content and there is ONLY a way. This is not Tell tale There are hundreds of ways to play. So If you are a lurker or shy and doesn’t know how discovering new ways to play pm me I will helping to see new ways of playing

I am psyched for this. I’m also not a “goodie goodie” player since in real life that almost would 100% get you killed in a zombie apocalypse.

As it stands, I think only Jillian is “morally grey” while everyone else is pretty much good.

Plus, the fact that she’s a government agent means she’s fairly skilled at compartmentalizing.

That’s not even mentioning his seemingly insane desire to protect a church from being overrun. Dude was seriously messed up

Each character has a personality I doubt Woody can’t be evil lol. However Certain characters are pretty okay and pro survival to fittest and pro raiding and killing. Also maybe there is ways to paranoid make characters hate or mistrust each other in future. But All is question of romantic option personality. Also like most people playing good is completely understandable that goodie part haspredominance.
But I am sure there are testers looking evilness content be part of game…

Yeah My thoughts are that someone is going to leave the group Reilly,Jillian,Jamie,Tommy maybe the twins. Reilly because he just wants him and his mom safe. Jillian because she doesn’t care about anyone in the group. Jamie I think if he does not like the way your group operates he will leave and take woddy and the bandits. The twins because they don’t high enough role

I actually think morally gray is broader and Reilly and Madison are ready to start raiding parties. Dante, Jaime, Kelly, Parker, and Brody are good NPCs.

Yes and pc corruption i think is visible always there is a chemistry there. Same goodie people can be a good influence for certain romances.

I for instance find romances less goodie that last game lol

I do play mostly as a goodie, I guess most people know by now, but every romance I played was really something, I think I tried all the male ones at least once.

There’s the Brody rivalmance, which was suggested by a tester. Not sure he wants to be named but it’s a little-known path.

A rival in a zombie apocalyptic world actually sounds interesting. I was doing some Walking Dead watching and I thought what if there was a person who stalked you and tried to get you killed by springing traps on you such as trapping you in a room full of walkers or pretending to be another survivor and luring your character someplace, etc.

Just saying is already in game since first part lol orthodox Mara run Trapping poisoning Killing people after convincing them not attack you … sabotaging.

If the twins don’t have a high enough role in the group, I think that’s a reflection on the MC/player for not giving them one(or Jaime/Rachel).So if they leave because someone is just putting them on the sidelines, and not utilizing their skills than, it make sense that they would leave in that scenario.

Characters I consider Morally Gray:

  1. Reilly
  2. Gina (she’s willing to kill people if it benefits the group)
  3. Rosie
  4. Driver
  5. Jillian
  6. Nora (supports bandit/raider lifestyle)
  7. Maddison(also supports bandit/raider lifestyle and thinks saving Kelly from Keith if she is kidnapped is a waste of time or thinks she deserves it because she led them to our base.)
8.Tommy ( possibly dependent on the manipulations of the MC)

Does anyone have any suggestions for a solid snake/Big boss build I’m going 50 plus point or Extra 25 and 20

I’m not saying all leaders of the group are saints! Just that our group in SH won’t crumble upon itself like the one in ZE did because the leader was a dumb egocentric boi.

Yeah but being a government agent, I think she’d easily put the “lives of 1000>lives of 100” equation and do stuff that way, instead of finding a middle ground or saving everyone like my ultra goodie MC would.

Yes i agree… one thing different was that Tom of Original Zombie Exodus is the owner of the cathedral, so it kind of gave him authority over us since we are harbouring in his base… but in Safe Haven, the leader is via election and relationship … hence this interaction is more truthful than Tom’s dictatorship

Well… Rachel could be Teresa of Maze runner, which would be a very interesting plot in future

MC : Do you regret it? What you did to us?

Teresa / Rachel : Sometimes. But I did what I thought was right.

I know you don’t however if all posts in a thread aare about how all is morality bungalow etc and morality and more how more goodie player is. Certainly confuse people without really familiarity with Cog openness to believe that is only reality. It is a recurrent issue with casuals being unaware about the scope of player agency.
